Why aren't we using the youngsters?

It is all about opinions which differ between posters, I could always agree with everyone except that then there is a chance that we would both be wrong?

Well no, but we're not perfect. It should be 95% positive comments and 5% negative, by proportion. Freedom of speech!

I don't think you are getting what I am saying. I am not stopping your freedom of speech. I am exercising my freedom of speech and saying I don't see anything to moan about.

Some would say we're not top of the league, so there's plenty to moan about. I would ask them to get a grip, even though I probably have some of the highest expectations here, for our club.

Actually, that's not quite true. Seeing as our opinions are ultimately worthless, I can't see the point of posters concentrating on the negative, when there are tons of things to be positive about. it's called enjoying it.

For example, why aren't we using the youngsters [as much as the OP appears to want us to, hence the question]..? Well, let's see...

Because they're not quite good enough or ready or fit or uninjured
Because better players are in still front of them
Because it would be wrong to put them under the pressure of top of the PL football
Because the manager thinks it's better if we don't play them yet [which encompasses all of the above]

My totally unqualified comment there.

Everybody (or most) has two eyes. One has a plus sign above it, the other a minus sign. I look out the positive one, whilst being acutely aware of what is in view of the other one and never letting it override the impact of the first view, unless I see something drastic.

We must also remember that the board have to think longer term than us. Like us, they can see a chance of the CL/Europa and want it, but they'd also like us to be competing for it for years to come. We're having a great season and have hit a blip...happens to every team, every season, but I'm sure we will start winning again and soon.

P.s. Have you noticed that the press aren't sticking the knife in...most seem certain that we will finish high this season.
