Stick back on song Flyingbolt eventually finishes third. Third here is Talgo Abbess who eventually finishes 4th, and last in the picture is Sempervivum who gallops on up the hill to take second place. I thought that might be easy (for you, not me - I'd never get these!)
That's cruel. I was thinking more like three and a half minutes. I reckon he'll wait until neither of us are logged in
You lot just know too much! Trivia moment (and you probably know it already) but Kashmir ll was plain old Kashmir when he ran in France. Never won another race after the guineas (well he only ran twice more) then packed off to stud. BTW that took you an hour - were you asleep?
Indeed the runner up, GREAT NEPHEW, went on to far better things not only on the racecourse but also in the breeding barns being the sire of the legendary SHERGAR and also GRUNDY of course.
Its the sprinter CAWSTONS PRIDE with Brian Taylor in the saddle......I was there as odddy so rightly observed!
Taylor rode Snow Knight to victory in the 1974 Epsom Derby. I backed him that day at 50-1 and also had the forecast. I was just a young teenager and that day more than any other set me on the way to a lifetime of following all form of horse racing.
