That's the only reason he's back, third of the season gone and he finally got his opportunity to stick his beak on here.

Since both clubs promotion its easy to see which one has the right strategy. WHU's move to new stadium will prove a nightmare and financial meltdown imo.
 
I think we played ok last night. Especially first half. Was never gonna be easy being Pulis' first home game.

No chance we will go down. I will have a bullseye charity bet with anyone that thinks otherwise.

I don't normally bother with this thread; surprised to find a shammer in here; must be worried. Maybe he's come in to lord it over... um... er.... Palace fans and how they're a small club and going straight down and how his lot are far superior.

What do you mean? First half we did play well. Do you not agree?

An away defeat against a battling Pulis side is disappointing but not a disaster. Plenty of other sides will come away from there with nothing IMO.

We will be absolutely fine.

Are we grading on the West Ham away curve? If so, perhaps. Were you good in general terms? Not really; it was a very scrappy first half, with both sides struggling in possession, and you were desperately poor after giving away the goal. Palace should have had more, if not for some dire finishing.

You might be absolutely fine. You'll need to show a spine when going behind, though...you have gone behind seven times, and you have come away with seven losses. Liverpool, a big six-pointer against Sunderland, Man U and Arsenal await.

Alan Shearer wittily pointed out on MOTD2 recently that Carroll gets to be a better player every week without even playing, so utterly dependant are WHU on him to save them if, or when he returns.

If they don't do something significant in the January window I reckon they could easily go down, and I think they'd struggle to come back up straight away. They are playing well and yet can't get enough points. Teams like Fulham have an excuse. West Ham don't.
 
Sounds like a few of you think we're going down. I propose a bet.

If we go down, I will donate £50 to the saints foundation. If we stay up, you donate £50 between you - and I dont mind if its 5 of you donating a tenner of 50 of you donating a pound to the Bobby Moore Fund.
 
I'm with you on that HR. Personally I think a lot will depend on transfers. If they fail to buy they will struggle. Anyone want to take Trixter on?
