We've had our giggle, now trot back to whatever hole you've been hiding in for the last three months.

See you after our next bad run.

Next bad run? You're not out of this one yet!

Aw cute. You've come back to our board. :emoticon-0111-blush

I'm not taking your bet on as I think you'll just about stay up. Your negative hoof-ball tactics will help you pick up the occasional three-points, and your whining primadonna players harrassment of referee's will guarantee you some dodgy refereeing decisions over the season.

It's a shame what West Ham have become really, I did used to like watching them.

If they don't do something significant in the January window I reckon they could easily go down, and I think they'd struggle to come back up straight away. They are playing well and yet can't get enough points. Teams like Fulham have an excuse. West Ham don't.

Considering The two David's were suggesting that we must be right on the FPP limit when they hit their wall, they will find it hard to bring players in..........because they haven't got anyone that they can sell because no-one would want them :)

Stuck with Carroll in the championship and going bust with the white elephant of the olympic stadium for Championship teams to visit. It will happen this season or next unless BFS is moved on. Teams that buy in journeymen and are satisfied to survive always go down eventually. Fulham have had their spell and are going I think.

I hope West Ham go down, not for their fans (although they do seem to think they are one of the big teams) more so that BFS is sacked and modern managers that play football can take the place of these dinosaurs.

I can see Pulis lasting longer at Palace because for a club of their stature a few seasons in the Prem is a great achievement so if they stay up he will continue the dinosaur hoofball. However they are unlikely to be able to stay up forever and like Pulis' stoke, BFS' West Ham and Fulham they buy cast offs from other clubs and journeymen workhorses. Not a long term option.

But you can have Gaston for £20m if you want :) Would be your best player.

You do realise the average age of our first choice 10 outfield players is around 25/26 don't you?

Sure there are a few older guys in there but plenty of players in their early twenties too.

Your argument is terribly flawed.

This thread is titled "who goes down?" And is therefore an ideal place to discuss teams other than Southampton as I'm sure you will agree, it's highly unlikely you will be anywhere near the bottom three this season.

Many of you claim West Ham will go down but not one of you believes it enough to even gamble a fiver on it for charity.

Says it all for me.

Our season is stuttering and you've had a good start. It's not a big deal to me and I don't expect the gap between our sides to be that great come the seasons end. I think you will finish 9th and we will finish 12th.

Don't know that I want anyone to go down....I remember what it feels like. I backed West Ham to stay up from the beginning, though I admit they are doing worse than I thought. Buying Carroll was a mistake...he may yet come good, but they could have bought 2-3 players for his price and wages. He seems to have fitness issues as well. It isn't obvious yet who is going down....still quite close as far up as midtable.

There's quite a difference between discussing who'll go down and being sufficiently interested to pay money. But I see you've found someone to play your game with. You'll find the Saints Foundation address on the Saints website.

If you're all happy taunting me with relegation but not prepared to back it up then it suggests to me that no one really believes it thats all.

Thats fine. But then it would be a good idea for them not to try and wind me up with relegation taunts because they look a bit silly when they hide when I call them out.

Got it :-)

And their average position is centre back.

Just kidding. Actually I think you'll stay up fairly comfortably and fans wanting Sam to go are barmy.

OK. I would ask Saints forum posters here not to taunt you with relegation stuff. It wouldn't hurt you to get a decent striker though. Just saying.

Most of the talk here is purely between ourselves. The Who Goes Down thread was not started for rival posters to come on here to make comments, but if they did, then they read what they read, and responded if they wanted to. But be prepared to accept the consequences. Some posters here don't automatically filter what they write because a poster from another forum may not like it. That's because they feel they can post what they like, within reasonable limits, on their own forum.

I'm not immune to realising that the WHU Not606 forum isn't the busiest one on the Net. Plenty of them are not, and therefore rival forum posters may come here looking for chat. All are welcome, as far as I'm concerned. However, they may find stuff they don't like. That's more often not the fault of the posters here, but how it is perceived by the reader. Sometimes you just have to take it on the chin if you stray into rival territory. I can tell you, nobody on here means anything by it. It's all no more than banter.

If you don't like being wound up, I'd strongly suggest you go away from another team's page. Just a thought.

No-one taking the bet because they can't be bothered. More interested in our own team than spending time making bets with other team's fans.

I agree with the bove though. You should keep BFS ;)

They've been after a chap called Carlton Cole for ages and achieved a coup when they captured his signature :)
