I think most reasonably intelligent individuals realise he is referring to Begovic?

Big day for Jol and Hughton. Will they both still be in jobs by Monday?

    And Big Sam too, surely?

Even if the board are currently happy to stick with him until either Carroll returns, or the Jan window opens for a new striker (though the board might not be), I'm not sure that the fans will be so understanding and patient. And once the fans turn against you...

As it was brilliantly put on twitter yesterday, when Big Sam becomes manager of your club, you make a pact. Not an ideal pact, not one which you necessarily want to make, but it's one that you do, in general, make. You, the fans, accept bad football in exchange for Sam, the manager, delivering you points. Right now however, Sam is failing badly on his side of the bargain. Just because they're not bottom of the league does not mean that the points return is currently acceptable.

I'm rooting for Norwich so a draw for Fulham would be good.

I increasingly get the feeling that Gus Poyet may just keep Sunderland up, or make it a fight at least.

They seemed to be sinking without trace under Di Canio, but seem to be performing better. Just five points from safety.

Think Poyet needs to hold it there, or get closer, and wait for January.

    Wonder what he may do.

If the new owner acts quickly to remove Jol (not necessarily because I don't think Jol is up to the job, but more because it would begin to clear the negative atmosphere surrounding the club), and also dips his hands into his pockets in January (they badly need an injection of youth and energy - as they have done for a few years now, in fact), then I'd still back Fulham to survive.

That said though, they play Villa, Norwich and Hull during December, and their first two league games in January (when any new signings might have not yet been made) are West Ham and Sunderland. So if they don't manage to muddle through between now and the transfer window, I may have to change my opinion.
