I think they do.What do you do when you have nailed your colours to the mast so firmly? My guess is that it's Sunderland Palace + one from Hull,Cardiff,Us (Norwich) Fulham,Hammers plus maybe one other.

Well done at Anfield btw!

You won't be in the mix , nor will the Hammers .

Thanks for the nice words :-)

Say what you like about the guy being nuts, he clearly also has heart. What other manager would have faced a terrace of supporters like that? The world is a richer place for the presence of characters like Di Canio. If he's given a chance, and the new aquisitions do gel, things may still work out for him at Sunderland.

I'd be a bit worried if I was a Fulham fan.

at least they are getting rid of that statue, so alls not too bad

Bye sunderland.

Yep. If that is true then it's an overreaction [the sacking, not your comment]. He doesn't need to be sacked, he just needs to get on with his job. Until he finds a formula he will kick, moan and whinge, but that's Di Canio. When he gets the formula right, and he will, given the chance, he'll shut up.

Well, actually he won't. He'll crow about it. :)

They shuld never have sacked Steve Bruce. With the exception of the first few months under MON, they were poor. I'm not sure they would have stayed up if they hadn't got in Di Canio for his "honeymoon period". Di Matteo, to be fair, is a fairly good replacement.

David Ornstein - senior BBC reporter: "Di Canio has most certainly been "sacked" as Sunderland head coach despite use of "parted company" in club statement"

Gianluca Di Marzio: "Now Sunderland will choose the new manager: di Matteo has doubts and the club wants an english manager that knows well premier league"

Hardly surprising, his last foray into management was winning the Champions League, that shambles in the NE can't exactly look appealing! How I'd laugh if Redknapp rocked up!
