I think the answer in general would be no, we have always been calling for Arsenal to buy one solid DMF, not two.

But now we do have a proper out and out DMF who did the role perfectly, but people are asking for another DMF, so what's the difference? Is it because some still don't have faith in Coq?

Again, let's be honest, we have been always calling for Arsenal to buy one proper DMF, I can't recall any summer where we were like we need to buy 2, it was always one we needed, we have that one now, so why the need for 2? If we signed Shneid this season, and we didn't have Coq, I doubt people would be saying ok we need to now go buy another DMF.
Well yeah basically.

The thing is Coquelin has produced the goods for half a Season - That's it.
It's hard to judge if he really IS the 'real deal'. His performances might dip, he might not be able to maintain that kind of quality for a whole Season, we just don't know yet.

Schweinsteiger is past his best in my opinion. He hasn't had an injury free season since 2010-2011 and hardly featured for Bayern last season. I think he will find it difficult to adapt to the pace of the premier league.

That's my concern too. Whilst Coq had a great season last time, it was only for 2/3 of the season. I think it's putting an awful lot of pressure on him to carry that DM position for the whole season through all comps. If he gets injured and Wenger hasn't brought in another DM then he's going to get slated. I can understand why Wenger wouldn't buy another DM given that Coq has done so well, but it's been such an achilles heel for us over the last few years. I really think we need to have stronger depth in that position.

His injury record is poor yes but hes not coming to play 50 games. Hes coming to share a role with another legend.

The reason i brought it up is because i saw the talk of him going to United, meaning he was available, so would have liked to have given it a crack, i didn't just bring it out of the blue, so i already knew he was most likely off to you.

But not the end of the world, he is a very good player, you need him more than we do.

Yeah thats Fair

Hes costing a few million. For that we get the Bayern and Germany captain who happens to be the current world cup winning captain too.

He will add a little more than depth <ok>

I think you paid £5.75m ? It's a no brainer at that price for sure. Alll I'm saying is that I think he's past his best.

Hey @UnitedPeoplesTV I'm surprised Utd are singing Schwein instead of Schneid. Great player but surely a bit to old.

If Arsenal just signed him, I'm guessing he wouldn't be "a bit too old"? Adam McKola added,

Meh .. He is a bit old. Some players manage to keep their form and fitness as they age and some don't. My opinion is that like RVP, Schweinsteiger's injuries have caught up with him and he's not the player he once was.

Hopefully he doesn't turn into another Hagreaves, he is a great player, he might be past it, but who knows, personally even though United are rivals, don't want to see the guy out injured for most of the season (only when they play us that would be fine).

I'd still have had him at Arsenal if he was offered, especially for that price.

It can go either way, but if he turns out to be a good signing for United, this will definitely be one of the bargains of the decade, to sign a player of that calibre for only under 6 million, and to think some ****er like Sterling who hasnt proven himself at all, is rated at 50 million.

Heck if you gave me the option of Shneid or Shwein, Ill be honest, I'd go with the German.

I think it depends on what you want/expect, if you want top class backup/load sharer then Bastian at £5.75m is a steal, if you want a player to start 40+ games then Morgan is the man. I just hope we end up with both
