Your squad lacks Premier League experience, it's really important that you have some in your first season. Drinkwater and James may be brilliant players in the future, they need an experienced midfielder around them though so that they can flourish. I firmly believe that if we didn't sign Huddlestone and Livermore, we would have gone down. Not a lot of us thought Meyler would cut it in the Prem, a first season with Huddlestone and Livermore next to him proved otherwise. Without Premier League experience I think some of your players will get caught out, that's the only thing QPR have on you at the moment. I've seen you play a bit on The Football League Show, I know that's not enough to make a good judgement though. I've looked over your squad and I don't see much Premier League experience, the players you say are your better ones have no Premier League experience at all. If you signed an experienced midfielder, some new centre-backs, a left-back, a winger and another striker I think you'll be good to go.
Thank you for answering my questions. I can see from your answer that, rather than attempting to be a WUM, your verdict on us is more down to naivety. You have come to the opinion that we're not good enough, as I expected, based on the fact that we haven't signed any "recognised Prem players", and not taken into account the fact that the whole team proved last season that they're ready for the Prem. You wouldn't have know this, since you admit you barely saw us, but we played like a prem side all season. The last side I saw play like us in the Championship was Southampton, but even they didn't dominate like we did. I agree with you point about Huddlestone, but the difference between us now and you a year ago was that you were not ready for the Prem.
Besides, we have some very experienced players throughout the side (Nugent, Wasa, Upson, Kasper, Konch, De Laet, Ulloa, Taylor-Fletcher and Albrighton have all played in top flights, while King, Morgan, Wood and Mahrez have played at international level). As I've said, the only problem I envisage is if we get injuries, as Pearson likes to keep a trim squad. Having said that, we only ready new two new additions; cover for De Laet at right-back and cover for Albrighton on the right wing. There's also the possibility we may need to replace Wood (CF) and Hammond (CM) (and some would say Konchesky) who some fear won't cut it, but these aren't essential.
Regarding whether we'll do a "Derby" or a "Southampton" - Derby went up via the play-offs, we're barely prepared and managed by an egotistical idiot. There big signings were "recognised Prem players" like Robbie Earnshaw and Kenny Miller. Southampton didn't even do as well as us in the Championship, but like us, played some fantastic stuff. Like us, Southampton had a good, up-and-coming English manager. Like us, their star signing was a £7m striker from the Championship. I wonder where the similarities lie?

Okay, firstly, you refuse to vote 9th to 17th, but you think we'll finish 17th?
But, 17th is... Oh, never mind!
Secondly, we don't have a very good squad? Erm, did you see the Championship last year? Regardless of the standard you may believe it to be, you don't win the Championship amassing over 100 points by pure luck with a squad "not very good"
We haven't made the signings to date, we've signed a replacement for Dyer in Albrighton who I really rate, and Ulloa, who I'm on the fence with but happy to give him a chance.
You didn't sign Huddlestone and Livermore until the 14th August last year, you were looking a hell of a lot worse than us this time last year... But you thought you were good enough then?
But we are judging them now, not in the future. Drinkwater could be the next Scholes for all I know, Mahrez the next Bale, at the moment I would rather have Huddlestone and Snodgrass. In my opinion, two proven players in this league is far less worrying than having raw talent at the start of the season.
Mahrez does look a Micky mouse player

All these highlights and it's the same game. He oozes class
Ince is better.![]()
All this sillyness. I tell you what LC & HU fans lets set up a skicky thread called "MAHREZ / INCE prem progress thread" & look at the 2 players week by week. At the end of the season Ince will have to of had a far far better season than Mahrez... when you take the transfer fee difference into account. It´s going to be interesting.
OH! btw, I´m off to see Schalke v Newcastle today, I´ve got my KASABIAN ticket come through (for Köln) & join my FANTASY PREM FOOTBALL LGE. Details on the stickied thread.![]()
Wow, Hull ended up paying £8m for Ince!?
I'm much happier with Albrighton on a free tbh!!!
Wumming aside, I think your squad drastically overachieved last season.!
...Your squad isn't good enough, yet.

Wumming aside, I think your squad drastically overachieved last season. It's obviously a fantastic championship team- but in my opinion that won't translate to the PL. The 100point tally could be your downfall, because it'll have lulled the ownership into a false sense of security. Major additions are required to secure survival, but it seems there'll only be superficial tinkering.
The hope and ambitions I see on this thread are very similar to those expressed by QPR fans after our 10/11 campaign. The top-tier is a cruel mistress fellas: as you'll soon find out..!
