Nobody here seems to want to raise a single voice of protest at this. How do you honestly feel about the fact that your owner held a gun to your head? You can debate the changes all day, but that's what would rankle with me as it shows them for what they are - Asian speculators who don't give a fig about the real Club behind the facts and figures, its history and traditions, or more importantly its fans.

the malaysians werent going to pull the plug, they were just going to reduce the level of investment without the changes.

it does feel 'wrong' but in my opinion, less wrong than the alternative, which would be to go into administration and start again in a lower league.

The silver lining for people opposed to the change is that this is only going to stick long term if it's financially viable. If the rebranding is a flop, you'll be back to being the Bluebirds within two years.

But ironically I doubt it will flop, because the surge in away kit sales should offset the likely short term drop in home kit sales.

tell me aussie what is this real club you claim 2 know so well then?......i can only say from what is about my area which is bang in the middle of two cities>>>>one is investing in training kids and the other isnt interested even tho they got a boy on the books 2 show what standards can be achieved by local talent..........let me tell you who are doing the most for my area dude in giving kids a chance at the dream of being a pro footballer>>>>>cardiff city are dude and that is what i call a real club aussie <cheers>

Yes one invested in kids by using money they didnt have and have got themselves in a right pickle money wise.

The other club did things the right way and are now investing in youth in a financially sustainable and long term way

well im afraid you aint spending in these parts dude and cardiff are so if any rough diamonds turn up guess who`s gonna get em <ok>.......your loss and cardiff`s gain in the long term <wink>

I suppose the proof should be in the pudding. Now the rebranding has taken place, we'll see how long it takes for the money to come.

Do you expect that...

a) All of your debt will be paid off this week with the remainder of the £100m (about £30m I think, but I'm not sure) being plonked into the lap of Malky to spend in a way he feels will take the club to the next level.

OR

b) Time will tick away with excuses as to why it hasn't been done yet. Stories of contractual negotiations and repayment plans to Langston (or whoever) and some manager-chairman disagreements as to who should be bought.

OR

c) Something else?

shaper your on the wrong forum if you want answers dude......the jacks seem more qualified 2 answer your needs or atleast they think they do <ok>

You know what, I love giving your lot a bit of stick, but on this occasion I really would like to know what you think will happen. I'm bordering on 'Swans fan in peace'.

well dont border on fk all dude....nothing 2 see here....move along there`s nothing 2see

Regarding Leeds changing their colours. Some forget that they were also known as 'The Peacocks' but Revie was a very superstitious chap (ring any bells) who believed (as many did and still do) that birds are bad omens. Perhaps we should actually ditch the Bluebirds as well. . . <whistle>

So basically they've backed Cardiff fans into a corner and said we stop investing in the team or you change the colours your club has been associated with for its whole history. How sad is modern football that they can do things like this and get away with it.

But I guess if Cardiff fans are happy to sell their clubs history off for a chance at promotion to the premier league then good luck to them.

And yet we had a peacock in our badge in the early 80's. <doh>

"The Peacocks" has never been our main nickname and it still is one of our minor ones.

read my quote again, slowly if it helps.

Ok, not so not stop investing completely but reducing the level of investment. Its still sly.

You can spin it however way you want but the facts are the Malaysians have manipulated Cardiff fans and openly questioned the clubs financial future without the change of kits just to get the fans on board.

If Sam Hamann doesn't accept the offer then you're back to square one anyway, just with a kit the fans never wanted and a club with no identity.

he can do slow swamp....thats a cert <ale>

Shut it aber, you crank <ok>

Just been listening to Talksport where Adrian Durham has been banging on about it's better for you to be in league 2 playing in blue, than playing in the prem in red. Anyone with a bit of intelligence can see this is idiotic. I know a lot of us Swans fans will be laughing at it, but taking a step back, putting the rivarly aside and being rational about it. It's the best way forward for your club. You've managed to reach the play offs consistantly when the club finances were not to great, this should in theory push you over the finish line. I will however still be calling you Wrexham reserves ;-)

Well you will be always the number 2 team in Wales after us and we will always be calling you gypo`s ..................;o)
