Sparkey, I haven't read Malky should be sacked? Can you point it out. My opinion of Malky is well known but I have not said anywhere he should be sacked. However, he's supposed to win matches and after a great start it's fizzled out.
What's the cause of the poor performances?
No squad rotation
Tired players
A lack of strength in depth
No plan B (allegedly)
No wide pacey wingers
No decent striker (people know my views on Miller)
Inability to change tactics during a match
Failure to bring in quality loan signings
Failure to bring in any permanent signing in the Jan window
Our recent points tally is relegation form
All these have been mentioned in thread and discussed. Ultimately it's the manager that has to step up to the plate and put things right, Malky has to earn his corn and in March he did not, in fact he fell well short of what is needed.
Aber and other raised the point he needs time as clubs are too quick to get rid. I pointed out that there were some strange sackings this season, nothing more. I don't recall reading anyone else suggesting Malky be sacked so have assumed you are pointing at either Aber or myself. The managers performance in March is also a part of the problem. He can' rest on his laurels after an epic (not classic) cup final against Liverpool. Malky has repeatedly stated it's not a hangover from the cup final, if not then what is he doing wrong?
