Dude... low blow. Why bring my private life into this? You don't even know me. I'm the first to put up my hand and admit I'm a virtuoso cocksman; but whore? Not cool at all.

And charlatan? The ethics of my medical practices have never been even remotely doubted. What are you even saying?

<laugh>

Well this is all very disappointing. First I learn that you can't be jibed into besmirching the good name of Sunderland fans on command... And then I learn I can't even get a consolatory shag for a few quid to make me feel better.

Don't worry.
Jpf is pulling your pud.
Which incidentally is what he does every Saturday round the back of the Blackie Boy in the Bigg Market for £2 a pop.
The cheep bitch.

Woah woah woah...

It's £2.29 a pop (pop guaranteed) now. I realise that's above national inflation levels, but I've got emigration to Canada to pay for <ok>

Lets just say that the North East Fans are the more sporting

Dear Mr Cushing,

Just a few words to say how much myself and the rest of the team appreciated the reception your fans gave us when we took the cup ‘round to their side of the ground after the game at Wembley.

If in some way you could convey this to your fans we would be very grateful indeed and we sincerely hope that at some time in the not too distant future you and your fans get all that you deserve in the form of a cup.

My most sincere best wishes for the future.

Kind regards,

Mike Doyle

(Club Captain)

Thanks Mike, we’re still waiting…

League Cup Final 76

Funnily enough, all the Sunderland fans had left by the time Man City were doing their lap of honour, so they cut it short at the half way line

My only comment refers to size of support you have. A credit to you on the day but why does it drop off hugely for other games. Crowds as low as 17,000 this season and rarely a full house.
The Toon have been playing absolute cr.p at home since Christmas, losing 5 games on the trot, yet still had 51,000 against Villa

You forget we've been up and down like a tart's drawers during the years or so since Peter Reid got the chop. A 19 point season; a 15 point season; early cup exits against lower league opposition; managerial cock-ups. Add in the recession and people seem to have become more particular about what they watch. Or rather what they pay to watch. For once I think we have the right manager at the helm and if he can inject some stability into the club, who knows?

I know most of the time it's all good banter on here and both sides give as good as they get, obviously.

But to be fair I don't think Sunderland fans have particularly overplayed or overstated their and the club's part in the cup final.

Never mind all the other stuff, they were terrific at Wembley and had a fantastic day – just as you would expect from BOTH clubs.

Sadly these occasions don't come along too regularly for either anymore and if for nothing more than reminding the FA north-east football still exists it's nice when they do.

As a NUFC fan did I want Sunderland to win? No – didn't even want them in the final to risk it particularly but denying they put in a good showing is futile.

They do have much to proud of and as a football fan I can't deny them that!

I think I may have met your grandfather a long time back
