Yes, bloody enjoyed that, smoked bacon as well.

Do you make it yourself ?

I sometimes get Lavar seaweed off the rocks down here, wash it, dry it and then bake it in the oven.

Lovely crispy seaweed for that umami taste and apparently twice as much Vit C than oranges.

will have to sample these other brands and compare them to Koka

Imo, they are the best ones I've had. The seafood one has got actual dried fish in the packet, rather than just flavourings

Almost like the Michelin star of noodles that <laugh>

No mate, I'm not sure how they make it, it's wet though so not baked.

Yeah, I'm not making Lavabread. Just using the seaweed as an alternative to Kale.

Which I also bake in the oven the same way. Kale is ****ing boring steamed or boiled, but baked in the oven with a dash of salt and it transforms into a lovely crispy 'seaweed' style.

To make laverbread, the seaweed is boiled for several hours, then minced or pureed.

**** kinda nut job calls cooked seaweed bread?

Norvern fing?

lol. Anyway what’s it like ? I’ve never had it done the Welsh way. Must admit it don’t look too appetising, but I realise that’s not always an indicator of taste.

And like I say, I love it dried and then baked in the oven.

You fry it in the bacon fat and it goes so well with bacon, hard to describe the taste as it is unique I suppose there a similar taste to others seaweed dishes and even a hint of spinach, certainly salty and tastes of the sea.

Made a prawn curry once and added a spoonful instead of spinach and yeah really good.
