Not your most impressive contribution tbf bro.

Just couldn't be arsed doing anything, actually quite nice though.

They added coriander, cumin, chilli powder, smoked paprika, oregano and cinnamon (powder, I use a stick) all of which i add.

They added brown sugar though, which i usually don't. Sometime I'll add dark chocolate but usually a slug of ketchup gives that sweetness.


Not sure I'd use coke?

The coffee and stout sounded good mind.

Coke it's like a runny molasses, use it instead of the sweet ingredients.

Not sure about the fried egg on top.

I usually make a well in my fried rice at the end and crack an egg into in, mash up the yolk and then 'chop' it into my rice.

Try the egg in the rice thing too. You let it cook a bit, and then chop it up with your spatula. Like an egg fried rice style.

Course it would, as much as vegetable lasagne which doesn't have white sauce is still called lasagne.

My spag bol style has 4 teaspoons of chilli powder plus fresh red ones and half a Scotch bonnet too sometimes.

Its still spag bol & unless youre some Italian called Franco de ****tard you can **** off init bruv.

Standard here the egg on top. I like it a bit runny as the combination of hot fried rice with egg yolk is fantastic. Would have had more chillies in the rice and less spring onions.

Not doing much cooking other than a roast lamb on Sunday. Bought some nice things in for Easter though, highlights being some really good smoked bacon which I'm just going to cook a big batch of and serve with laver bread. Got some smoked duck slices and some smoked rainbow trout and some thin slices of raw beef.
