The next thing for them to do is sell the club to that Cali sports group that is trying to buy a club that way at some point in the future we do a preseason tour of the west coast and I can go to some games.

Ideal world - They accept the decision, start using the club's proper name and we go back to just concentrating on the football.

Real world - Petulant rant, blame the hooligan fans/FA for holding back his master plan, ignore the FA and pretend we're called 1 904.

I'd say the second option was more likely than the first, despite the first option being the only sensible option.

He won't get his money back without getting us back in the Premier League, flogging off the players won't generate anywhere near enough to cover the debt and despite everything, he won't want to leave the club in a worse state than he found it.

It's hard to predict what will happen next, he's completely irrational.
I think it might go quiet for a while after which they will resume as if nothing had happened. I do not agree that Mr Allam Sr is irrational.

Must be odds on that the next statement from the club will be some sort of threat or, more than likely, threats. It’ll be thoroughbread hostility as you like it.

Maybe HutchTiger’s bona fide inside can give us a heads up on how far, exactly, the toys have been thrown from the pram?

Anyone who thinks Assem is irrational or desires to be popular is so far off the mark it's not funny.

Personally I hope they drop it now, and that we can get back to just supporting the team, have a great season and go back up as champions.

It would be nice if the whiners and haters could drop it too.

I suspect I'll be disappointed on most of that.

Well maybe not the going up bit.

You really believe that, don't you?

What is irrational is the likes of you come across as though the fans against the name change are just stirring up trouble for no reason.

You hardy ever (And I'm talking about you, sunbeam, Smartarse (won't see this) et al on here) acknowledge this all came about because of Allam.

Allam is so irrational it's actually not funny. You saying he's not is just crazy talk.

It feels like the Greek referendum 6 days ago, initial celebration but as the hangover from the party subsides a case of now what.

Tsipras voted no to austerity and now appears to be saying yes, what a mess.

I'd love the Allams to completely drop the name change fiasco but I'm not confident.

This entire affair is based upon his disdain for HCC.

In trying to change the club’s name, amongst other things, he’s split the fan base whilst twice failing to meet this poorly thought out objective.

Is that rational behaviour?

At least you agree he doesn't have any desire for popularity.

You also clearly do not understand what irrational means. You're interpreting it as "he's doing something I don't agree with, so, it's mental, or irrational". Actually, anyone who disagrees with you, in your head, is irrational.

In fact he's extremely rational, and logical, and also a bloody good business man who despite what you and your ilk think has turned the business side of our club around massively. It was so inefficient and badly run, it's a wonder we kept afloat. Oh hang on, we almost sank.

He just sees things in numbers. You don't understand that, so you label it irrational. It's not, it's just another way of looking at things.

Just so you know, me and mine will still be going to support the club at games, can I take it you'll be going back on your words now and standing next to us?

You don't half talk some ****.

He put £70m into the club to save it. That needed no business sense at all. You or I could do it, if we had the cash.

Since then he's alienated a huge proprotion of his customers with his attitude, comments and business sense. Yeah he pissed many people off then put the prices up by nearly 40% in 2 years. Brilliant businessman.

That is irrational. Matched and surpassed only by your blind worship of him. Wake up man!

Someone who puts £70m into a club then ****s off it's fans does not a good business man make. For he's going to make a loss if he really wants out as he's too stubborn. That is irrational.

And why do you think I'll go back on my word? As I said, I won't go back whilst there's a chance of standing next to someone like you.

Yes alienating the core fanbase of your business for no reason is sound and rational business sense.

Good one Gerald :emoticon-0148-yes:

At least you agree he doesn't have any desire for popularity.

You also clearly do not understand what irrational means. What you should have said was schizophrenic.... Actually, anyone who disagrees with you, in your head, is irrational....Although disagreement with an irrational concept is actually quite normal.

in fact he's extremely rational, and logical, and also a bloody good business man...and he was talked into buying a football club by Adam Pearson, probably with some schmooze that he'd get the KC for peanuts, ahead of waiting for them to go into administration and a 10 point deduction, when he could have saved himself placing £30+million,that he then placed onto the clubs books, and thus wouldn't have lumbered the club with the same debt it already had.Albeit the debt was to him which was a slight improvement. He then had a "set to" with Hull City Council and decided that Barmby was out and money would be spent to gain Premier League status....then he'd show 'em...but he seems not to have realised how expensive top flight football in the BPL was(doesn't sound like much research for such an intelligent businessman)...And you,the supporter must pay...and Hull City Council...Bastards...............
(the "Club") It was so inefficient and badly run, it's a wonder we kept afloat. Oh hang on, we almost sank, and now the beneficient owner just threatens to kill the club at every opportunity if he doesn't get his way.

He just sees things in numbers. You don't understand that, so you label it irrational. It's not, it's just another way of looking at things.Yes,I've seen "Rainman"...and "Cube"...I don't think this is entirely relevant to the situation of owning a sporting club.

Just so you know, me and mine will still be going to support a club at games, can I take it you'll be going back on your words now and standing next to us?... ....[/QUOTE]

Corrected, and regards your last question...I seriously doubt it.

You lost me at probably Heb. Last thing we need right now is more made up bullshit. Or speculation.

I can't even be arsed explaining to you what schizophrenia is.

My money is on Mr Allam to remain at the helm, buoyed by Greg Dyke`s support for the name change I suspect he will again lodge a further application, time will tell, but a line really needs to be drawn underneath this for the good of all concerned, unfortunately Allam seems to have taken this as a personal sleight that the majority don`t buy in to his so called financial vision that the rebrand will make us more marketable. I suspect he may just bide time until we once again grace the top Division, and re-apply then.
