Good stuff Maestro
Have to say I'm not too knowledgable about
jazz, though I'd like to be. Recommendations always gratefully received.
The 'banter' from Leicester fans was very disappointing and I couldn't be arsed to get involved, so it's music for me now!
As an aside, the first time I went to Leicester (1972 I believe), our coach was smashed to pieces, and one fan was hospitalised. We also had a pretty cold ride home. I've not liked them since, churlish as that may seem.![]()
If you want nice easy listening jazz Gandy, try looking for Jacques Loussier on you tube. Lots more Maynard Ferguson on there as well. His version of Hey Jude is pretty awesome as well

Be boring if we all liked the same stuff chris. Or most of us would be suicidal if we all liked Chas 'n' Dave![]()

Cheers mate, I'll look them up .....
....and you do know I don't just listen to Chas 'n Dave, don't you?![]()
Used to debate with a friend about MF. Friend was a big Miles Davis fan and thought Ferguson sold out when he came to GB and joined the Fusion revolution going on. He thought MF was just trying to blow his trumpet straight. If you want nice easy listening jazz Gandy, try looking for Jacques Loussier on you tube. Lots more Maynard Ferguson on there as well. For anyone who is interested, tonight on BBC4 at 5 past midnight, Jazz piano gold is on. It features: Count Baisie, Theolonious Monk, Oscar Peterso, Stan Tracey, Jacques Loussier, Duke Ellington and herbie Hancock.
Think it will be a late one for me tonight. Looking forward to an hour of top jazz piano playing.
