Wetherspoons app!! Check the thread title.

You order on the app and they bring it to your numbered table.
They only have standard stuff though so you can't order a guest ale, fancy gin, fancy rum etc., only the usual bog standard stuff.

The food came as I ordered and in good time, I didn't have to get off my backside.

The problem with the app it can't be updated with constantly changing guest ales. I think a way round that is under guest ales just put pump numbers say 1-6 etc on the app....then have a blackboard system which is updated every time a barrel is changed, with the pump number next to it, the same as they do in micro pubs.

ahhh hang on is the app a device attached to the table ? so its paired up in some way

Sup lads
Could get messy tonight :bandit:

It's become a worrying trend with people and their mobiles.
What else is funny, people pack in smoking (good for them) then they go and sit in a smoking shed and vape.

Cheers mate, you have some off my baccy smoke whilst i inhale your plume off strawberry and ice cream..

Btw you you miss the tabs, cos your still ****ing here inhaling the ****.

Spoons are ok, you know what you're getting. The beer is actually better than decent, it's very good and very good value.

The food is, as someone said, average but edible.

They do breakfast as well, which is at least a partial reason (excuse) why people are in so early.

You see the oddest sights. I was in one having breakfast last year and were trying to spot the piss head. This rambler bloke comes in, boots, rucksack, massage whole ramble shebang.

Goes to bar, orders a breakfast and comes back with a pint of San Miguel. Proceeds to have another during breakfast, then rambles off.

All before 10.30 am.

Both spoons in Warrington sell Carling for £1.99 a pint. I went into the one on Oxford Street last Saturday with my youngest and her boyfriend. Same pint of Carling was £3.75. That's some ****ing mark-up <yikes>

You can't beat an old school boozer though, whenever I go somewhere in the UK overnight I'm always looking up ****ty old pubs.
there used to be a pub in the town i lived near which was just an old 2 up 2 down. Front room had a couple of formica (red obviously) topped tables the back room had a shelf round most of the wall and a couple of barrels to use as tables At the back of the room was a plank set on a row of upturned barrels on which were 4 barrels of draught Bass.
Strangely its clientele seemed to be almost exclusively men <laugh>
