Would Pochettino be a good fit for Stoke, if and when Spurs fans turn on him?

That won’t happen for a long time, if ever, IMO.

He’s done so much for us. Taken us to a different level and turned us into challengers. Something we haven’t been consistently in decades.

Considering the relatively small budget he’s had to work with, I think most of us know that very few could have done more.

In 5 years this is what I foresee:

1. United obviously (Carrick as manager)
2. City (Vincent Kompany as manager)
3. Liverpool (Brenda as manager)
4. Arsenal (Arsene Wenger as manager)
5. Burnley (Pochettino as manager)
6. Wolves (Giggs as manager)
7. Spurs (Howe as manager)
8. Chelsea (Steve Bruce as manager)
9. Newcastle (Lee Cattermole as manager)
10. Everton (Duncan Ferguson self appointed manager)

We don't all have to agree on the minor details here but I'd expect that to be pretty accurate.

...fully agree ... apart from those minor details ... the clubs and managers ...

I agree, he has. He's the reason you are where you are, given your squad and your resources relative to the teams around you.

But most football fans are almost entirely irrational.

You're just butthurt cos you'll be managed by Steptoe in League One.

I enjoyed our season in League One ... proper fans ... I'm also old enough to remember both United and Spurs getting relegated to what is now the Championship ... a salutary reminder that anything is possible in footie ...

I think Rafa to United once Jose gets the push in the next 12 months is a fair shout <ok>

Old and butthurt.

Old and butthurt.

Older admittedly ... but got nowt to be butthurt about ... I suspect any Leicester fan that was supporting the club before the Martin O'Neil years will be amongst the most chilled of footie fans ... we have achieved footballing nirvana in terms of our expectations ...

I appreciate that the unquestionable Mancunian power shift to the Etihad will have set your IBS off and that it may not be curable for a decade or two ... but at least Liverpool aren't putting you in the shade .... oh but wait <laugh>

That's a whole load of rattling there fam. Using other clubs for leverage cos your own club is a dustbin.

Don't get too excited ... as your wives are prone to say ... will be intermittent on here today and tomorrow as am into the last two days of the contract and doing lots of handovers (was only meant to be here until end of December) .... start new 3-6 mother next Tuesday back in the big city ... not looking forward to daily commute on packed trains :emoticon-0112-wonde

There'll be plenty of spare tickets if I ever wanted to visit that council shed.

Better than Leicester though, that place is the pits.
