Yip, not too disappointed. Avoided Pompey for now so didn't mind a home or away draw against the other teams involved.

Were Portsmouth home or away against Bury?

One leg no replay, 31 March the final (we were due to play at home on the 30th !) Does anyone remember about 30 years ago in this league when they beat us 4-0 and they claimed the away dressing room got smashed up, I think John McPhail might of had something to do with that lol.

Anyone like a conspiracy theory...
two best Supported clubs kept apart which could lead to a fuller Wembley for the final.
Both of those teams given the farthest to travel in the semis keeping the other two teams happy.
Just saying.....

Might make the 5th for a canny road trip. But I live in Surrey and it's a bastard midweek journey for them as is local to Sunderland...

I've just sorted two tickets for the league game so unsure about going twice, probably will though ...
... will make me feel better in the final if I've gone to the semi :emoticon-0105-wink:
Ha! I have no shame, mate. When South Shields made the FA Vase Final I was there in my new claret & blue scarf cheering Julio Arca and the rest of the lads on, despite never having been to a Shields game before in my life, let alone one of the earlier rounds! Proper glory hunter moi, along with about 20,000 others!! <laugh>
