I don't agree because it's not the case and I doubt if any of your lot would agree either.

I couldn't care less if people think I'm a Geordie.

Why would I take offence if someone from Norwich wasn't aware of the various accents in the North East of England?

I couldn't care less whether you agree with me either. There no right and wrong.

Of course there is.

I'm not even from your area and I can tell you most of your lot would say you're wrong.

There are many differences in the two accents ......... the Hull accent is basically Anglo-Saxon with a little Norse and Manchester is more Welsh/Irish in it's origins.

The two are absolutely nothing like each other.

If any Hull poster corrects me I'll happily admit I'm wrong.

BTW, you mean 'there IS no right and wrong' ............. just saying.

Hullothians taking the piss out of how we speak. Well **** me backwards in a rickshaw being driven by a naked Penelope Cruz.

To be fair Comm, I don't think the lad is doing that ........... besides, there are so many NE accents I doubt many folk could tell how we all talk.

I have mates in the Shotton area who talk like they're from the bible ...... it's all thee and thou and ower yonder.

Once of my uncles rolls his rrrr's and is barely understandable to his own family <laugh>

That's a new one. Never heard us being called that before.

Usually get the unfortunate nicknames like codheads & mudrats aimed at us.

I'm proud of my accent, i;ve even got my boss, who is an Arsenal lad, talking a bit like myself, once he understood that i would not comply with his ****y accent.

Who is taking the piss?
we are known as Hullensians actually

The problem, if you'll allow me to mention it, is that the Hull posters took up residence on here after the last game.

It looks like the same thing is happening again and people are starting to tire of it.

It's all good fun at the time but, win or lose, it soon becomes just another match.

If you look at the Newcastle board, after last weeks game, the inevitable banter has virtually ended apart from the Sunderland lads who are truly welcomed over there.

How many posts on here even mention the derby last week, virtually none .......... it's in the past.

TBH, I can't really see the lingering attraction, for the Hull posters, once the game is over. My thoughts are now entirely on the midweek match and sorting out hotels etc for Wembley.

I doubt many people will want to go over and over the Hull match or how the two sets of fans speak.

<laugh>

I've just seen a Hull comment, on here, about our shame regarding the attendance .......... it was twice Hull's lowest Premier League crowd this season.

Hull even couldn't sell their allocation yesterday.

No offence to Hull but some of the comments are so infantile, I'm surprised they've not been taken out to feed the ducks this morning.

They might tell me I am wrong but if I don't think I am wrong then they are wasting their time. Hence why I come back to their is no right and wrong as it is just peoples opinion.
Anyway, I take your point about us being on your (sunderland) board. I will go now, but as usual I will bob over every now and then.
Call me nosey, but I like to read other teams boards sometimes for the fun factor. The swansea board has a cracking joke thread which ammuses me.
Until next time, good luck in your forthcoming games.

Someone who can't even spell 'they're' correctly is in no position to lecture me about the English language.

I'm not trying to convince you, I couldn't give a **** whether you live or die, never mind what you think about your accent.

It's not a matter of opinion, the North Humberside accent has no connection with Manchester and would only sound that way if you had a potato for a head.

See ya Spud <ok>

FFS so it's turned into a spelling lesson now has it.
It is East Yorkshire you dimwit. North Humberside was abolished, although in the eyes of Hull folk it never existed.
Do you ever wonder why you are banned from other teams forums. Maybe, it's because you bore the f**k out of folk with your I am right you are wrong attitude.
