After registering on here relatively recently I am now ready to make a clean break and move on here full-time.

Does anyone know if you are able to delete your account on RTG, if so, how?

Thanks

I'll still lurk and post now and then as some good people over there but hopefully the right posters move over here and it will be just as good for Sunderland/football related news and less bickering/WUMs

Always said on RTG the problem was the mods. This place proves it, no time for the aholes here.

That's why I've joined this board. You make a fairly innocuous comment, just adding to a thread and the usual faces are straight back at you hurling abuse. Sadly rtg is now riddled with wums and trolls.
I was once called a “sh*t guzzler” unprovoked and i thought “here I don’t need this” so I replied “no I’m not” and the other person said he hated me

Sure Shaun61 got hounded off rtg and cancelled his account. I quite liked his craic so it was a sad loss of a regular. Wonder if he posts on here?

Morning all. Used to post on here allot back in the day. Sadly I lost my way for awhile. Living in Cornwall and the obvious downfall of our great club didn’t help. Nice to see some of the old names again.

Appreciate the welcome mate, been on RTG since 2007 but it really is getting depressing now, cant believe how fans can turn on each other, it beggars belief. Anyway, I look forward to some canny posts :emoticon-0150-hands

People on here aren't happy clapping misty eyed loons who all have Sunday picnics together.

They argue, fall out and get angry ...

... but 99% are true Sunderland supporters who want the best for the club they love.

Welcome mate ...

The issue for me was that without any kind of 'board rules' for you to follow, allied to the fact that they wouldn't discuss deletions and banning meant that at times you never really knew what was 'too much'.

So then people start to 'fill in the gaps' themselves of what they think is happening.

And if you don't what what's not allowed until it's deleted, and different mods appear to have different definitions of what's not allowed, you then look at the board and think 'WTF? He got a ban for that but look this personal ****e deliberately goading the same people over and over again' and its allowed.

Letting those kind of thoughts fester for years without explanation lead to an awful lot of disgruntled posters feeling hard done by.
