Done a bit of googling. I’ve heard of him now.

Armed with my freshly armed knowledge,Avery exciting appointment.

Allams IN IN IN!!!

-> McCann is Hull’s sixth different manager in the space of three years.
-> Hull vice-chairman Ehab Allam added: “Grant has been a standout candidate with a playing style and philosophy aligned to that of the Club.

Would love to see some journo call his bluff on this 'playing style' canard.

Quietly optimistic. Didn't know much about him or Donny but it seems he took a struggling side (15th) to near promotion.

Little I have seen seems positive. I am pleased that we have got Terry. I am now hoping for some interesting signings. Obviously following some interesting sales.

Oh dear. Sounds like he's swallowed it hook. line & sinker.

I wish him well, I really do.
I doubt he's swallowed anything. He's here to improve his career and will be very aware of the potential pitfalls. He's being very diplomatic, and I sense a very confident individual in that interview.
I wish him well also. Unless he makes horrendous mistakes - tactically on the park, recruitment (which is likely to be limited given the probable budget), then I doubt he'll suffer too much as the whole football world is aware of the constraints & randomly damaging actions of the current owners.
Think he's in a decent place to impress.

Agree with your assessment TC. Thought he came across well. I wish him all the best and hope he will have the bodies in place by August to give us the type of attacking/high energy football he obviously favors. Good luck Grant !!

I know very little about him as a manager/coach, but listening to his interview he sounds to say the right things about the way he likes to operate. I wish him the best of luck and hope he proves to be a good appointment.

On the whole, the Allam's have got most things wrong, but manager wise, they don't have a bad record IMO, the question will be how long he will be able to stick it, and whether he will be given the backing he thinks he is going to get.

There comes a time when threats/promises actually come to fruition. Should the Allams actually cement a sale, while McCann is the incumbent, and if the new owners have true ambition & funds to back that ambition, then this looks like a great position for McCann to be holding.
Then again, it could all go tits up.
As Harry once said..."Do you feel lucky punk ?".
