I think we know that any players shifted out will be on loan. Why would any club be stupid enough to pay money for Bamford or Meslier when they can have a look at them for aa season before buying. After all it’s our usual means of getting tid
The shame of it is was we were offered money for Meslier back in January from Nice I think it was plus Lorient asking the question, we were offered cash for Joseph and turned it down and now we send him out on loan. We have made some howlers over the last 3 seasons. I dont see any improvements in fact think it’s worse, so all those people saying the 49ers are doing a great job need to have a rethink, and for those who think we have Red Bull helping in recruitment, well clearly notI think we know that any players shifted out will be on loan. I’ve always said give the 49ers time to prove themselves. Great if they eventually get us to where Forest are. Established top half club with extended ground. Still awaiting some serious business that will change my mind. They seem unbelievably slow at concluding businessThe shame of it is was we were offered money for Meslier back in January from Nice I think it was plus Lorient asking the question, we were offered cash for Joseph and turned it down and now we send him out on loan. Now confirmed Kalimuendo signs for Forest for £25m! For him that’s peanuts and everyone knew he was going to be on the market. Apparently we spoke to him and he refused to come. However if we knew we could get him for only £25m they should have made him a very attractive offer and sold him the project and plan. Money talks today. There is now only one big domino to fall and thats Mitrovic, all the very top strikers now gone besides him. Hojlund has now been told officially he’s no longer in the Man Utd squad and is only £30m and he’s only on £80kpwk. We seem to have an ambition deficit when it comes to forwards. Nkunku could have been the attacking threat from wide left or up front but we were so fixated on Paixcoa we did nothing else.
ProblemTo be fair to the 49ers, alot of the **** we are left with are from the Orta era. Yes, they were minority shareholders at the time but they weren't pulling the strings.
We know that the 49ers wanted to get rid of Meslier in January and offered to buy Farke a new goalkeeper but Farke refused and backed Meslier to be the #1 only to change him for Darlow later in the season.
We also know Orta and Radz wanted rid of Harrison to Leicester but it was the 49ers that pulled the plug.
It just seems to be a running theme with Leeds that we pay over the odds and sell on the cheap. Its been going on for years.
Thats why I'm happy for us to be trying to drive prices down and not overpaying like Sunderland. We overpaid for Llorente, Koch, Roca, Kristensen, Rodrigo, Wober, Aaronson and we are literally still paying for it 3 years later. Add in the stupid contracts given to Bamford and Harrison and you can see the reason why Sunderland are outbidding us in the market.
I'd rather be more sensible this summer and I'm glad the club are erring on the side of caution. It is exactly what Brighton would do and it's not a bad model to follow. (Brighton offered 18 million for Diarra, we offered 22 million, Sunderland paid 35 million).
Problem
With that logic though is Diarra now plays for Sunderland. Not Brighton or us. Farke has said how important new attacking recruits are to his project. To date he has not been backed

I think we will go with Piroe, Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Nmecha as forwards now.
However, and hear me out on this one, IF we go for another striker then Josh Sargent would make perfect sense. He is a different type of striker to what we have. He is a relentless pressing machine and can also play wide. His injury record has been largely ankle problems but he had surgery 18 months ago which fixed it from recurring since.
I'd also like Noah Okafor from Milan. He has that x-factor we crave. They turned down a 15 million bid this week. He wants to leave. We could get that done at the end of the window for around 20 million.
I can see us getting Hamer too as an option in midfield.
Brentford look dreadful by the way. Long may it continue.
I think my order of hope from the existing teams who I thought COULD struggle was:
Brentford
Wolves
West Ham
Everton
going ok so far… fingers crossed for number 4.
I don't think Everton are going to struggle under Moyes
Inclined to agree but they’ve lost a lot of players this summer.
Absolutely if Farke wanted him and rated himWould you have gazumped Sunderland by paying more than 35 million for Diarra?
Absolutely if Farke wanted him and rated him
Personally don’t care who works out forMaybe Farke thought he wasn't worth it? We dont know.
We'll see if the likes of Sadiki, Diarra et al were worth it as the season progresses.
I'd suggest Brighton had the correct valuation given their recent history. We'll see.
