We seem to hoying all our eggs in the basket for Paixao. think we are trying to blow the other two out the water to give up. unless someone else has come to the table and we now trying to tie it all up before a offer is thrown in.
Between welcome to Leeds Lucas. we could have 3 Brazilians in before the season.
Na na na na na na na na naaaaaa Samba Samba De Janeiro

Don’t forget if we fail to sign him there’s still six weeks in transfer window

Anyone else hear the story of Farkes son playing for Paderborn today. He has his mums surname Engelens and the kid apparently had a good game against us. Louis Engelens no doubt some wag will have him in the January transfer window thread <laugh>

Seems the Perri deal will be anounced later as the medical passed and hes now a Leeds player.

Real Betis are getting a battering in Spanish sports media, maybe Este knows something. I hear that Spanish clubs are sick of the free loading Betis club who cry poverty all the time even when they sell €40m worth of players. They have had our pants down 3 times and done the same in Spain. Man Utd have told them to fk off and refuse to loan them Anthony again and Leeds should do the same pay the money or no deal ever.

Piaxoa deal look like not happening as it seems Dutch and French media are stating that he wants Marseille and they have gone back in with the same offer as Leeds, plus Roma are also sniffing. We should walk away as we dont want to get into a bidding war. The player agreed terms with Marseille and hasn’t done with Leeds so walk away and get the next on the list.

On the formation topic we don’t really see much action on a ten do we? Yes we hear about Hamer and Buendia but nothing in reality just gossip. If we go in like last season we end up with Aaronson or Gnonto or even Tanaka. But in front of the back line you have Ampadu, Stach, Longstaffe in a 4-3-3

Callum Wilson signing for WHU so one of the old lads less to have stories about. Another one that’s getting some mileage is the Iranian Mehdi Terami but hes 33yo so why would we. He had a nightmare season in Seri A only scoring once. I admit his record prior to that was world class and he’s scored goals everywhere he’s been except last season. Why would we gamble on someone older than Bamford

Hi doc, great thread as always.
Betis, they are skint as are most (all) spanish clubs.
Their latest trick was in order to sign a south american player valued at €7m by his club was to pay the player €5.3m to buy himself out of his contract, then the parent club can avoid paying tax on the deal and betis give them 10% of any future sale.
They travel to england tomorrow although their head of recruitment has gone today, whether to speak to mateo joseph I dont know.

Betis are the working mans club in seville, their neighbours sevilla are the posh lot.
Massive rivalry between them.
Their stadium is a typical oldschool 4 sided affair with capacity for 60000, I went once as working in sevilla, was a good atmosphere walkable from town and plenty cheap places to eat and drink.
Unfortunately they closed it this year and are now building a modern spaceshipesque thing.
So they will move to the olympic stadium for 2 years.
Sevilla as a city is a great place, lots of history great food and probably the best eye candy I have ever seen!
1 hour from the atlantic coast, great weather although a bit hot in the summer, they usually kick off at 22-00 in august and september.
I can understand a footballer wanting to go there, also they play europa league this year.

Not sure how good this outlet is (Daily Mercator) but for the last 2 hours they are saying Marseille or Roma can’t match Leeds as they made an offer they couldn’t refuse and posted this picture

Says Marseille are going to go for Wallace Yan, who played 35 minutes in the club world cup for Flamenco and scored twice.
