Afternoon all. Personally I think Longstaff will play, he’s the only one of the signings with premier league experience. Can’t wait to see what the new big lads think about the weak as piss Aaronson <whistle>

Its a more reserved system than last season with the Tanaka role sitting a little deeper than Aaronson would. It's flexible given the options we now have in the squad. For example, Take Tanaka out and play Aaronson and we are much more in the front foot. You could leave Ampadu in the sole anchor role and play Longstaff and Stach as box to box players. Or you could play a line of 3 with Ampadu, Stach and Gruev to sit deep and hold tight.

Its interesting what Farke will do in midfield. Someone will miss out. Ive a feeling he sees Piroe as an option at 10 to rival Aaronson for the odd game we play that system.

We wont be as gung ho this year which is sensible. We should be a bit more structured and methodical. Could be quite ugly at times.

Basically agree with this completely apart from I think in home games we should be winning we’ll likely have Stach as a lone 6 (think if the hype is to be believed will be better than Ampadu who I think may be susceptible to pressure in the PL) alongside Longstaff and Tanaka. Don’t forget Longstaff played most games for Newcastle when they got top 4, very underrated and class player!

Thought yet again Piroe looked sharp and hungry and another good goal.gnonto similar and another good goal. Usual sloppy playing around at the back saw us undone for one needless goal but in fairness we ain’t good enough at the back for tippy tappy

I don't think so - Longstaff will be a starter - he didn't swap the Newcastle bench for the Leeds bench. It'll be something like:

Gnonto...........Muniz/New Striker.....Paixao/Ramazani
