Kone's header the only chance on target this half.

Not that it matters now but Chair shot straight at their keeper.

If we had got a point out of that it would've been deserved. We had two headers that at the very least should've been on target.

Apologies forgot that shot.

We're not going to win games without improving upfront though.

We are playing further up the pitch than last season but still way too slow and not hurting oppositions defence in the slightest.

One up front doesn't stretch the opposition, they keep two defenders near our striker meaning we can't find the pass. Instead we play it sideways, sideways and backwards allowing all their players to get back.

Frey would make a difference. Big, strong, combative but too injury prone to rely on.

I'd like to see Frey with Burrell or Kane.
Frey for holding & laying the ball off and the other to pull defenders away and make space.

Whether it will ever happen I don't know.

Crap first half saved by Morgan’s sensational strike.
Second half was more encouraging. I thought Koli looked good on the right; I was thinking Varane made a difference (as he heard me and got mugged by two Watford players!); Kone looked good in the short time he had, definitely looks full of promise from that little cameo.
I thought Esquerdinha looked OK, yes he’s not there by any means but he’s going to get better with minutes.

Deserved the draw I thought. JS must be seeing the issues now and enough opportunities, as people come back from injuries, to see the glass half full (for me anyway).

Absolute ****e. Very little of anything. You can’t pick a right-footed centre-half at LB and a midfield at right-back when you’ve got options to play actual full-backs. You can’t start Madsen no matter who’s available. You certainly can’t bring on Celar to walk about and kill the little momentum we had, forcing our best player out wide in the process.

We’re a bad enough team to lose any game on a bad day but we were behind the eight ball with that team selection from the start. So unbelievably lacking in any sort of intensity after that, two soft goals and never once looked like carving them open despite a reasonable 20 minutes or so in the second half (zero proper shots on target).

It’s concerning.

“Probably it’s also my fault I didn’t prepare the players well enough for the first half,” he said.

Well at least he manned up
It's not about preparing players , it's about playing players in the correct position. Mbengue bless him didn't have a clue what to do at LB. Varane should always start in front of Madsen. Smyth always looks lost on left wing. Ultimately when u have 2 inverted wingers who are 5ft tall you are causing yourself massive issues, as they cut inside and get shoved off the ball. Some really basic crap management on show today

Disappointing to have the loss but on a positive …. We’re still in the safety zone.

Wow, wouldn’t want to be in Sheffield at the moment…..
