Train : Both around an hour and 40 minutes ...Underground from Shepherds Bush Market to Baker Street then Metropolitan Line to Watford then a walk...or...
Underground to Euston then mainline to Watford Junction then a walk.
Bike : An hour and a half and a 15 mile ride.

Match Preview;
In a week during which we've exited the league cup, as normal, drawn our first league game, signed a prolific goalscorer from Wycombe and managed to annoy the Germans. Quite a week. Back to league action on Saturday as we head to Watford for our second league game.

Watford lost their first league game to Charlton, and will be hoping for better as they play in front of their own fans. They've signed ten players over the summer and have strengthened across all areas of the pitch. It'll be a challenge to get them all gelling well together quickly, but on paper they look like they could be very dangerous.

As for us, the signing of Kone looks like a very exciting deal as he's a proven goalscorer in League One. Alongside Dembele, Poku and Burrell our attacking options have been significantly improved and so I'll be hoping to see a lot more attacking play this season, and less sitting back and playing the ball across the back four.

Team news and manager comments to go up when on the official, enjoy if you'll be making the trip to Watford...(as always...stop for a Thai pre or post match, at the Nascot Arms...it's brilliant)...and as always...

Nice to see from your report that Watford are one of a handful of clubs we have actually beaten more times than lost

Thanks Dave. I think uncle Albert’s winner at Vicarage Road (2-3) in 2022 deserves to be in the ‘ones to remember’ column. Watford were top or second at the time and Adomah cut them down to size. Sadly, we couldn’t build on that win and Beale would prove traitorous…

I have few memories of the lockdown games which all blurred into one but a delightful late winner there from AA that season too.

Speaking to Watford mates it sounds they’re absolutely there for the taking so I’ll predict a 1-0 defeat with a Baah goal in the 72nd minute.

Big Wetherspoon’s, sun shining, nothing can go wrong.

Probably having scans and it’ll take a bit of time for swelling to go down if that’s an issue.

Or he’ll emerge at Vicarage Road like a butterfly.
