Just listened to his comments, he said he'd like the fans to get behind the team and try and lift them, rather than getting on their backs. He's probably got a point, but it doesn't really work like that. The team need to look like they're trying to get a result and haphazardly passing it about 15 yards from our own goal with time ticking down isn't the sort of playstyle that people want to see.
Say Au revoir to one manager, two assistant managers, a goalkeeping coach and a fitness coach. Keep one assistant manager on in a temporary managerial role. Take time to appoint a new manager who will utilise our quality squad to its maximum rather than espouse a nonsense football philosophy. Still not too late to save this season.
The problem with that attitude is - it’s taking the fans for fools. I quite like playing it out from the back - you keep the ball more than when you kick it long . But the second half was crying out for us to take the pressure off ourselves and stop passing it around a bit. Portsmouth were all over us and we just needed to get a foot on the ball in midfield and wrestle back some control. Fans might not know the intricacies of football tactics, but they know when the performance is suicidal.
Tim is one of the worst. The number of times he throws his arms up in the air and turns his back after a misplaced pass
TBF the amount of times we misplace absolutely bog standard and simple passes is shocking, I'd be massively frustrated as well.
Agreed, professional footballers not being able to make a simple 10 yard pass and giving it away more often than not extremely frustrating. There was one in the first half where Puerta had a simple through ball to set Kamara free down the wing and he played it straight to there defender with no pressure on him, pathetic.
I think the problem is that we've been sold a pig in a poke. We'd accept this "heart-attack" style of ****ing about at the back if it led to us breaking quickly, and having 20 shots a game but it's not doing that. We're just playing risky **** at the back with a mediocre attacking output. We were promised goals, but we have none.
I suppose Acun is flying back to Turkey because there is a huge game tomorrow, no sacking until Monday.
I dont think walter will be sacked anytime soon I think whatever happening with tan etc has seen to that Has his flight took off yet?
What? No money to sack him? I think if we fail to get a win out of Oxford away, or WBA at home, he might be gone unless Acun is out of pennies or stuffed by FFP or whatever it's called now. And based on that second half performance, I don't have any faith we will win either of them (having said that, the way we played the first half, we looked as good as anyone in the league if only we could bury our chances).
Oxford are similar to derby and portsmouth Lack a lot of quality for the championship But very hard working and well organised We can either score 2 or 3 and win or grind out a draw No in between
The one thing I really don’t get about Walter is that it’s supposed to be attacking football, rotation crazy and anything but pedestrian. He even looks annoyed when the back 5 pass it about. So why is the team still doing it?
Dear Wally Please P!ss off back to Germany and take your dog sh!te brand of football with you. You came in promising us attacking, exciting football and you have actually delivered the exact opposite. In 50 years of watching Hull City, that 2nd half has to be one of the most putrid 45 minutes I have ever seen. Our football bye and large is mind numbingly dull and how long you can expect to attract 20K while serving up this dross heaven only knows Hopefully this is goodye and good riddance
The lack of results was seen as somewhat palatable while Walter tried to blend his fledgling squad together and goals flowed at both ends. Now the points and entertainment have dried up, we are all left questioning where we go from here. Acun has hamstrung Walter with the lack of a quality striker, so there Tim is left holding a get out of jail card. However, Acun is ultimately an entertainer and a proud man, so the fact that he stuck his neck on the line to say we would be entertained makes me think he will now be looking over at the red button. I think Tim has got Oxford and West Brom. If we win neither I think we will spend the next International break looking for a new man. I am aware that Acun was considering an early exit on this new direction right before our 3 match winning run. The current run has put him right back to where he was before. Tim has 2 games.
My team/ club needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel and play football as it was supposed to be played. Sick of clever ****s coming in and trying to impose their own ideas of what they think is the best thing to do. Play ****ing football as it should be played, attacking, exciting, physical and passionate. The game has been taken over by money grabbing, self-centred ****s who view our game as a hobby.
