I tell you, mo is getting on my fuvking nerves. It's not been as prevalent this season. But pass the ****ing ball. The minamino opportunity I could see his point, but he looked up saw Chamberlain and went by himself anyway. That could of cost us last night, hes been fair lucky that we having lost or drawn after hes had one of his little bouts of mania
We’ve just got through a very tough set of games; Spurs, Utd, Wolves and haven’t dropped a point. City have their tough tests to come
I thought they were going to **** it up on the eve of my birthday, so delighted with the tthree points. We were poor, but that's partly because they were very good. In Spoons now Will be utterly bladdered tonight
I disagree, AOC wouldn't have had much to aim at Mo was better placed, he should have done better and scored himself.
Personally, I think the pass was on. It's not an isolated incident though, and that's the point. Mo only has eyes for goal, and will try to work his way through impossible situations to get to it, he's not even looking to make the pass. This would be ok if he was banging them in from all angles, but he isn't - because he's surrounded as soon as he gets the ball. He needs to look up and see that others are in a better position than he sometimes, because if the others get too frustrated with him it isn't good for the team.
He also scores a lot and we have to appreciate that, if he starts passing the ball and the other player doesn't score we'll be begging him to shoot again. Nothing is broken here let Mo do what he wants.
Laporte Baresi Beckenbauer. I have not seen a player whose rep has been pushed beyond religious levels.
Just had this conversation with my niece - 'Mo misses and/or messes up three or four good situations because he won't pass'. 'Oh, but every other game he scores a worldie to balance it out'. She's currently doing a masters degree in mathematics.
This is a critique - not a criticism. I like him, but I'm not blind to areas where he shows weakness - and this is definitely one. It's a team game, and if you see someone in a better position you play him in. If you're not screaming "pass the bloody thing" at him 3 or 4 times a game I think you're in a small minority.
Yeah I get the frustration but also think that as a striker you sometimes need a few sighters before you put one in and there's no guarantee that the other player scores. Just chatting about it I'm not saying anyone is wrong or that I'm right.
I'm in and out of that 'small minority' on a regular basis. I like that you said critique because that's how I feel. I really don't want to criticise anyone. Whatever they are doing individually and collectively, it's working. Let it be.
I understand Mo have a greedy nature that a lot of attackers have/need but he should definitely pass more regardless. He shoots in a 2-1 situation despite the 'one' marking him and his teammate being free!
Ox was in acres of space, stood all by himself, even if he chose not to shoot just the ball across would have caused panic. Salah had two defenders running with him and he did what's hes prone to do now. Threw his left foot at it and hoped for the best. If it had gone in it's a great finish against the odds or he could have played the simple ball and we could have opened them up for an easier opportunity.
I get that but then again he should also shoot, didn't miss by much. We don't want to be Arsenal (always one more pass).
It's not one more pass lad. It's making the right descion, which sadly hes got worse st as times gone on.
Yeah I get it, I really do but I also see why he would think he can score. Nice arguments to have at the moment.
