True... Although that was just the first competative match with the pair so I'm not sure how strong a statistic that is.

This early season optimism is surely going to get destroyed on Monday

    Look at the signs

    1. Multi Jinxes (see above)
    2. Too much optimism (see board)
    3. Playing bogey team
    4. Playing bogey team at bogey ground
    5. Playing bogey team at bogey ground on bogey night

Allison will have a mare and probably Keita and VVD will both get crocked in a 3-0 defeat

    Aaahhhhhh that’s better
I know Jaffa and wishi are there with me

    Germans are weird.
But if he keeps on improving us he can get it out and swing it about for all I care.

It was a promising start to the season and it is important to get early wins to get the momentum working early.

Other than that I am drawing no conclusions. I still expect City to take the title, and I still expect us to have a decent season but it is just one game out of 38.

A very promising weekend but a long way to go.

    Lmao
    Yes of course
Well actually it was too easy
If we ever win a title I would not want to be putting up with that sort of performance in the subsequent season
Want some defensive steel to admire...

    Obviously.
I've bet the wife on us winning the title.

    Ex-wife, that is.

Meh. I'm fine winning every game, or almost every game, by 4 or 5 goals.

    I'd willingly suffer through it.

    Won't have to, will I?

Though I've got Click and Collect lined up, just in case.

It’s refreshing to see someone getting on the ball and driving through the middle. This kid will be special

Chamberlain? Keita didn't just drive though, was smart on the ball and could read the play well

Ox can do it but he’s still raw IMO. As you say, Keita does more on the ball and plays with real intelligence
