Thought Gomez was really good. Yeah was comfortable for most of the defenders but he handled Arbautovic pretty well and he’s probably one of the trickiest strikers on last years form with his pace and strength. Milber was was excellent again, Keita was very very good. Really going to be a star this season. Front 3 rusty at times but the link up and movement between them is brilliant and carried on from last year. Ill hold old fire on judging Alisson. Couple of nice pick outs with his feet. Nice save from header in first half. But then shocking pass with his left foot, didn’t look comfortable on that foot at all and the one where punched out was iffy, Karius did similar against spurs and got crucified for it.
Great way to start, exciting season to come! Keita looked like he’d played in the prem all his career, what a debut that was. Don’t know how Milner keeps doing it, brilliant performance from him!
Yeah, Arnautovic is a handful and played well against us last season. He offers more than just a target man. We kept him at bay just about.

Probably already been mentioned but our bench today had: Mignolet, Clyne, Fabinho, Henderson, Lallana, Shaqiri and Sturridge. Strongest bench I've seen us have in a very long time!
We are very short on CB cover atm with 3 injured. Fabhino is our cover! Ox is a right off for t least a season, so he’s not even in my thoughts atm. If he does come back strong, it’s like a new signing!
