I'll let you retract those examples if you wish, because you're honestly not expecting me to take that comparison seriously, are you?

Well.. Pogba refused a contract and pique did ok and got a few games but was up against visit and ferdinand.

Ilori has gone off and got injured on successive loans.... it's not really the same.

Every player should get a fresh start under Klopp but if he pulls up injured or looks really unfit then he is toast.

Moreno and Clyne did a great job on Stoke's danger men as well .

yes, how many crosses did Moreno cut out - for a change. And, in the first half, he set the tone by constantly harrassing Stoke's players on the ball in their half. I suspect somebody has REALLY spoken to him.

Absolutely, my thoughts exactly. Give him a good look at, in pre season, next year. Not at a crucial point in the season where he could **** things up royally, for LFC and his own career.

FYIW I actually like the look of him too, and do think he could end up rather special.

Was it them or more faith in guy helping cover while they went to block?

Moreno got lots of help out there. He did ok. Needs to keep the levels high.

He's also played every game so expect him to not play fa cup

If he's fit he should try and get in. Exeter might be too soon depending on when he came back.

Ryan Kent was recalled by Klopp too.

Bit of both imo, which will breed more confidence/faith, and further pressing. A good cycle.

Thank you for giving me the opportunity but I would prefer you to actually football, and therefore encourage you to watch the lad play without passing judgement. Once you do, you may know what you're talking about.

I'll give the lad a chance since he was one of the best players at the u21's tournament this summer and has played blinders against the likes of Messi, Neymar and Ibrahimaovic. Apart from Villa, he was starting for each club when fit. <ok>

No doubt.
Can was also excellent in that tournament if I remember, and its simply that a CB is a "one error/goal" position, I just think it is riskier putting an unproven (prem) player in there, albeit one with talent. As good as Can is/has been, when he was at CB he was a bit of a liability, as he can be now (but somewhat afford to be) at CM.

Saying all that, I would LOVE to be wrong, and have a new Ferdinand on our hands..

All three could be water-carriers for Can.

What does Can do that makes you all rate him so highly?
I have seen him make the odd good tackle (expected from a mid), I have seen him run 40 yards into space with the ball (usually ending with him passing to the nearest Liverpool player when he gets close to an opposition player putting them under pressure or losing control of the ball so he has to lunge to make a pass, nothing special). He does make himself available to receive the ball and pass it on, but that is part of the job description.
He is very one footed but a lot are, the difference is he always turns the same way to get on that foot making him slow and predictable. In games when you are under pressure he tends to wander around the middle of the field (almost the centre circle) waving his arms and telling others what they should be doing but doing very little himself.

In short, no, I don't rate him, but he is young and could come good. Klopp himself has said he is a 21 year old playing like 1n 18 year old and has to learn.

Please let us bring in the guy who can't get a game at the bottom of the league club.

We don't need an inexperienced boy at CB. The last thing we need.

I'd rather have him at CB against Exeter on Friday than Lucas & Can.

Shame Coutinho went off injured - finally started to see him in his groove.
Whenever its been Firmino as the false 9 or whatever, with Coutinho behind, they've looked good, they do seem to be on the right wavelength, even if its not quite coming off, it looks promising.
