What were your thoughts on Hargreaves reflection on what a coach used to say to him and his colleagues...
"hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard"
This is what I've been saying for a long time; you can have all the talent in the world but if you don't work hard for the team then you shouldn't be part of the team.
For the record, I'm being serious here rather than ripping you (for once).
But you need some sort of talent. If out put an 11 from here into an LFC team we'd all work out bloody socks off, but we'd be torn apartby a team of players like Pogba, Di Maria, Ozil etc... because they have far more quality.
You need a mixture obviously and not just within the person but also within the team. You can sometimes carry a player that doesn't work as hard if they have quality if you build your team around them. Different tactics require different skills etc.
