Correct. It's not about the scoreline, it's about approach and style. But nor you you play free flowing and exciting football to get a 1-0 victory. It happens of course, but it's not planned.
no result is plenned... unless of course you are utd (according to some on here)
Both teams have a say. You do your best.
IMO all you are saying is this is an entertainment industry and providing a show is their job not to grind a dull result out.
Now.... Its all building towards the end of season and ultimate result so like TV, a slow episode

might be required to fill in from time to time and drama every week is wearing just as knowing the result ahead of time (4-0 city) is boring.
So if you view football as a pure entertainment series, or as a one of spectacle or as a road to the real big day you will consider a game differently.
If i watch juve v man utd as a "neutral" on a one of basis, I might not see either team for 2 months again so I might consider that a crap game. It depends on what actually happened. I didn't see it but heard juve were wasteful and utd were clinging on and got 2 late goals. for some the drama might have made it great.
If i watch LFC v red star as a one off I'm sure it was bloody awful to watch
If I watch city on a one off winning 6-0 or 6-1 last weekend. I might think on the one off it was amazing.
However if i'm a city fan I would probably think result is foregone conclusion in games by now. I might only be up for the utd game this weeked as that result might be in doubt and all those big result might be meaningless.
