Undoubted quality - but we're not desperate in that are unless we play Lovren. We need another left back, or wing back, as cover before we need to blow our budget on a CB. We needed to do that for Virgil, and we needed to do that for Allison: we just don't need that for another CB.

Today was the type of game that Coutinho could have unlocked, especially the three free kicks outside the box. Just saying...:emoticon-0138-think

Its not just quality of player, how do you replicate the relationship mane has with robertson , or the front 3 has together.

Milner makes s good left back, solid enough, but when he plays the whole left side suffers.

when salah doesn't play, its rare trent has a good game.

Klopp has created a very good machine, all the parts work very well together. Trying to lever a different size cog into throughs the entire machine off.
It

Do you really want me to start talking about small medium and large cogs...?

Tobes, I in no way want to disrespect you or everton. I've been many times, throughly enjoyed your run in the cup winners cup. Unlike a fair few id like to see you second in the league, just behind us again.

I'm just not at home with the idea, that you can be happy with that.
We go toe to toe with you lot and it completely plays into your hands. We didn’t and left no space in behind. Coleman had Mane in his pocket and you created absolutely nothing of note. We could have done better on the counter and were wasteful when he had the ball on plenty of occasions, but with the side he could put out, that was a solid performance and a decent point. To suggest it’s somehow an insult to our heritage is abject nonsense, sorry.

Ancelotti had 3 months to prepare and all he could come up with is "11 men behind the ball, Pickford wastes time every time he gets it".

At least Martinez tried.

Son is a player I would love to see in our shirt
I think Mbappe would be good but possibly too expensive
Don’t like Madisons attitude and not seen enough of grealish :)

Id love son, think he's wasted playing second fiddle at spurs.

Mmbop is a no, he wants to be the superstar and I dont like the look of him.

Maddison and greenish don't offer anything we havnt got

Mate, I thought you'd lost a bet, posting that load of waffle.

Well backatcha - if you're happy with simply passing the ball sideways against the thirteenth placed team in the league for 75 minutes, then panicking like a teenage girls dormitory when a mouse runs across the floor for the last ten minutes, then I think it's you who needs to question their expectations. We're champions elect, ffs.

Im Not talking about your heritage mate, I'm talking about here and now. Neither side where full strength, but the lack of pressure, the unwillingness to get forward even when you had the ball.

Maybe I'm yearning for the days of yore as you say. Maybe I'm sad to see yet another Derby played out as a drab lifeless affair.

I expect us to be better than we where, but I'm not about to drop to my knees and open my mouth for the nearest blue cock.

They were always more often than not drab affairs, only with more kicking lumps out of each other. I’ve been to enough ****e derbies over the years to clearly remember this.

Probably lad. I may be after the romantic ideals of the derby that I remember through rose tinted glasses.

I'm disappointed that we didn't adapt after half time. He put Ox on, and we were beginning to get a little joy getting behind, but like the Chelsea game in the cup a few months ago, we just went back to passing sideways and the occasional lump after 15 minutes of the second half. The type of game a Dalglish, a Barnes or a McDermott would have conjured up a spot of magic in the past. or indeed a De bruyne. Or Coutinho... <whistle>

****ing behave - I stated my case before Tobes had turned up, and I'll say it again. You're being as bitter as the biggest bitter can be - we were dire, and Ancelotti got as much as he could out of his squad against the ****ING CHAMPIONS ELECT. A little grace, eh?

You had a decent 10-15 minutes after HT and we were starting to look a bit ragged imo. Then he made subs that imo didn’t need making at that point and you went back to being predictable and quite ponderous. Then when Lovren came on, we sniffed blood.

They set up to defend and looked to take any opportunity that came along, they almost got it. We played well enough and once everyone is a bit sharper we'll do better in those those of games. Just another step forward although a smaller one them were wanted.
