And has been mentioned already but we really miss the balance that Robbo gives us on the left, but also Salah on the right. His link up play with Trent is one of our key combinations.

That he should have passed to Keita.

He'd be first choice alongside VVD but certainly not worth the outlay; too old and not a priority area for us

Our first eleven is superb, any changes beyond that weakens us. We simply don't have a great squad.

I was disappointed that he didn't get in behind more often - he kept coming back to get the ball, when his forte is supposed to be on the spin getting on to flicks. Bright at the start, but once Everton got the measure of him, he looked like Danny Ings lite.

I know we don’t need him but I rate him highly
Plus he would be better than Matip as he isn’t made of glass so Gomez vvd and koulibaly would be an amazing CB trio imho

I dont think following on from their previous managers tactics of sticking every one behind the ball and kicking it up in the air when they get a touch could be called a master class.

I agree they will be treating it as a victory, which shows just how ****e they are.

Undoubted quality - but we're not desperate in that are unless we play Lovren. We need another left back, or wing back, as cover before we need to blow our budget on a CB. We needed to do that for Virgil, and we needed to do that for Allison: we just don't need that for another CB.

Today was the type of game that Coutinho could have unlocked, especially the three free kicks outside the box. Just saying...:emoticon-0138-think

We're champions elect and they're thirteenth, or something. Show a little class - if they did that against City (and they will), they'd probably get beat.

Oh boo hoo. Yeah we should have just played a highline and allowed you to play in behind us or murder us on the counter. How awful of Carlo to play tactics that didn’t suit you lot. As it was, you created absolutely nothing from open play and we created the far better chances.

Its not just quality of player, how do you replicate the relationship mane has with robertson , or the front 3 has together.

Milner makes s good left back, solid enough, but when he plays the whole left side suffers.

when salah doesn't play, its rare trent has a good game.

Klopp has created a very good machine, all the parts work very well together. Trying to lever a different size cog into throughs the entire machine off.

I agree. With Mbappe up front, Madison and Grealish in midfield, Son on the bench,....

Don't start lad, if your happy with that performance, then I'm happy for you, but back in the day the derby was fought tooth and nail.

Regardless who the better team was, you didn't know who would come out on top.

Again, being happy that you hit the post in the dying minutes to snatch a victory at your home ground just shows how far you've fallen. No passion, no fight, no **** all.

Edit: no belief. Thats whats missing, you no longer think you can beat us.

Changing the subject, I had to laugh when everyone took the knee at the beginning - except Mane! <laugh>

He was halfway down the pitch when he suddenly realised '**** - I forgot!'. <rofl>

Oh wind it in. Don’t talk to me about derbies from days of yore ffs.

He had a scratch side and you’d only lost points in 2 games all season. Our tactics limited you to nothing and we could well have won with some good late chances. So yeah I’m happy with that, so sniff it.

Tobes, I in no way want to disrespect you or everton. I've been many times, throughly enjoyed your run in the cup winners cup. Unlike a fair few id like to see you second in the league, just behind us again.

I'm just not at home with the idea, that you can be happy with that.

We need cover at left back. Doesn't have to be Chilwell or something, but a left-sided player, preferably fast, that can fill in there. We have Nico Williams at RB coming along, and obviously Gomez and Fab can fill in there, but Milner at LB is barely better than Lovren at CB, imo. I'd have thrown Elliott on by the way tonight had Matip not got injured again.
