But there is still a right way and a wrong way to leave a football club. VvD appears to be behaving like a right dick. For a professional to rule himself out of practising his profession for his current employers, is pretty contemptible imo.

That is true, and VVD is a dick and half your players have been dicks about moving on. I was just countering your part about becoming a S'ton legend as (if your board is anything to go by), there is no ever correct way of leaving your club in recent times unless it's you guys who want to get rid or they are on a big downhill slope, which is highly unlikely as legend status will only be attained if a player is actually decent. So unless a guy does a matt le tissier (which has probably happened once or twice) in the past 30 years, i don't think anyone will attain that with you guys
