People can agree or disagree about the second goal....personally i think Vardy did foul Rafael but the ref didn't give it, Rafael then made a challenge that asked the ref to make another decision and that went against him aswell. Man Utd were still winning at this stage, it wasn't the ref that made them capitulate, i didn't see the name Clattenburg on the scoresheet so i assume he didn't score any of the next 3 goals either.

The Man UTD fans here have been gracious but on social media and on national phone ins thay have been whinging like babies about how everyone hates them and the ref was shocking........get over it lads, you were beaten by a TEAM...... a team with heart and passion and a will to fight for each other and the fans.
Man Utd are not a team, they have some great players but that will only get them so far.

Very proud to be a city fan, who thought we would get 8 points from those first five fixtures?

I've seen the highlights now. I still think it was shoulder-to-shoulder (definitely not shoulder-to-back), however Vardy does flick his hand up afterwards which could be deemed a push. It would have been harsh though. I'm not so sure about the penalty now though, as I think there's minimal contact, but Rafael does approach Vardy from the back, which is never wise. I understand why the ref gave both decisions, but wouldn't have been shocked if they'd gone the opposite way either.

Good point about a TEAM. I said before the match that this was a team against a collection of superstars, and it would be interesting to see which would come out on top.

Wrong, clown. Man U will have settled down by then, ie become more of a team. At the minute, they are a bunch of talented individuals hence they got beat by a team.

How's your bunch of... individuals getting on?

No mate..you are wong on this one..The season is not based on 1 game....At the end of the season, you will find out who is the better team

Again..I know were I'd put my money...do you? <ok>

PS, thanks for calling me a clown when i did not offend you
Our individuals are doing ok mat. Lets wai until the end of season before we make any judgements shall we ?

good luck <ok>

Had enough of the was it wasn't it a pen, its on the score sheet now. Interesting comparing Blackett and Moore, both up and coming young centre backs. Moore outstanding alongside Morgan. I thought Blackett actually looked very good and other then the second pen didn't do a lot wrong. Best moment - de Laet robbing Mata and sending Vardy away. Love it.

Just thought i would pop on your board and say "well done" from a Utd fan. Must admit i hadn`t watched any of your games this season so didn`t know what to expect. I thought your team showed great spirit and didn`t let their heads drop even when 3-1 down, to then go on and win the game from that position was amazing. Good luck for the rest of the season but if your team play like that each game i`m sure you won`t need it.

We got lucky with the first pen, but its not the refs fault for anything that happened afterwards, Man Us defence were all over the place.

Like others have said, even at 3-2 up, the Man U of old would have gritted their teeth and still won that game.

Credit to our clinical finishing it has to be said, we may have even more points if we had that kind of composure against Everton and Chelsea, Kevin phillips take a bow son <ok>

I think that defenders nowadays are concentrating too much on learning to take out the skillful forwards, so small, fast, aggressive players like Vardy will find it easier to get opportunities, Blackett was so easily shouldered out of the way before he got sent off, made him look so lightweight, even against someone of Vardys size.
Not saying that the Rafael challenge was fair though, that was a definite shove by Vardy, but Rafael should have been more professional directly after.

Great result and a very good performance, though it would have been a better game if the ref wasn't so crap.

Better for who...? Won't see many better premier league games than that. What a performance. Exciting times being a LEICESTER fan. Pearson and his staff are doing an incredible job. Long may it continue

That game had everything. 8 goals, one of which was a stunner (Ulloa's- Di Maria's wasn't too bad either :emoticon-0105-wink:), penalties, a red card, and quite possibly the best performance of the season so far by Jamie Vardy. The controversy only added to the excitement. I'm of the opinion that Vardy pushed Rafael, although that didn't excuse what Rafael did after and for people to say Vardy dived is ridiculous. Rafael should have known to play to the whistle. However, at 3-2 Manchester United should really have still been in the ascendency. I basically said at that point it was nice for Nugent to get a consolation goal.

Part of the reason we lost is that we went to win the game at 3-3. At 3-2 leicester had the momentum without question and quickly made it 3-3. We in hindsight should have sat back and slowed it down. We didn't, we tried to go on and score which for me is the right thing to do. This time it cost us but di maria and falcao had gone so the pace in our attack was gone. Yours however remained and you hit us to devastating effect on the most direct of counters.

People have been saying how moyes was doing better. More points, less concedes etc etc. What they havent said is how moyes would have been humiliated without reason against leicester. We wouldnt have scored 3 and you would have cut through us even easier. Exactly 12 months earlier we took the lead at city. We limped pathetcally to a 4-1 hammering. We took nothing from the game. We learned no lessons.

That wasnt the case yesterday. I wasnt embarrassed. The game was fantastic. Could just have easily finished 5-3 to united or 4-4. Thats why we are football fans. To witnessnthings like yesterday.

Anyway guys. As youve thanked us for taking the result on the chim its only fair to say thanks for not rubbing it in too much <laugh> pretty balanced and fair views from all.

To the return fixture. Erm.... Im going to say best of luck this time <laugh>

:headbang: You highlighted my comment about a TEAM (ie, a close group who know each other well) being well-matched against 11 talented individuals (great players, but haven't gelled - yet in this case). This matter was settled yesterday. The TEAM won. You said this would be decided at the end of the season, which is WRONG. It was decided yesterday, so your comment about things being decided at the end of the season is irrelevant. By the next time we play Man U, they may have gelled, and if they do, we will lose our advantage (plus they'll have home advantage), but this not relevant to my point because no-one has suggested that we will finish above Man U. Hope that's clearer. <ok>

P.S. Sorry about calling you a clown, I didn't realise you were easily offended. Have you put any money on QPR? I bet you'd get some great odds on them to survive.

I think talksport summed up neatly today
Moyes took over a premier league champions team and Van Gaal took over a shambles. Hardly fair to compare them.

mind you on friday talksport announced they were going to speak to Leicester City midfielder - Liam Moore
not sure they'd done their homework there

Did anyone else hear the guy on the commentary in the first half on sky (can't remember who it was) twice refer to Wes Morgan as Wes Brown? That was pretty embarrassing!

Well done, Leicester. You will stay up, but don't get too confident! <ok>

No chance of over confidence with us Proud
Very level headed fans just like our manager. We will sure as hell enjoy the win yesterday but feet back on the ground firmly for the trip to Palace at the weekend. Going to be a long but exciting season

A good manager would have shut up shop at 3-1
