SpursLegend, whoever your "ITK" is, will be talking out their backside as we can all speculate and second guess what is happening but none of these spurs forums have people ITK in transfer dealings.
 
The rumour mill is suggesting that this is done, now.
€12m, which is what they were asking for in the first place, IIRC.

Most media reports seem to suggest they wanted €15m and we wanted to pay £9.6m. €12m is much nearer to £9.6m than it is to €15m!

It's all over Twitter that the fee has been agreed and it is €12million.

Get this done Monday and a new manager in on Tuesday so we can finally move on.
 
Good news of its true, but twitter was saying the same thing about 2 weeks ago.

what I was getting at is that he's hardly likely to waste a year playing somewhere he no longer wants to, just to be able to say "Ha! now i'm leaving on a free, **** you!!"

It's just a matter of days now before this entire saga will be wrapped up. it's gone on for far too long.
 
Ajax appear to be taking the piss with this, frankly.
If this story's true, then I don't see what they're holding up the deal over.
They agreed a clause with their player, they've agreed a fee with us and he's agreed terms.
They now want to renegotiate something in his contract? Poor.

when we were first linked to Vertonghen, there was a report with him saying how he hoped Ajax wouldn't make his transfer complicated, like they did with Stekelenburg to Roma.

Exactly that has happened. First over the fee, now this. what an absolute nightmare to deal with.
