Quite possibly. Whatever his motive for being there he'd obviously been planning it for a while, because he'd amassed 42 guns and hundreds of rounds of ammunition. I just watched a video where a firearms expert (not HIAG) was saying that he would have been firing off around 200 rounds per minute. He must have taken some time to acquire that arsenal, because even in the States if you walk into a gun shop and try to buy that amount it's going to raise alarm bells.
Words almost fail me ... heard all the arguments about the bad guys would still get guns even if there was a ban etc ... but this lone fruit loop would never have been able to go to a hotel armed with 23 killing machines if there had been such a ban, now would he?

Just watched a video where a firearms expert said that you can legally buy fully automatic weapons that were made before 1986 in any gun shop. You can also buy the mods legally to convert a semi automatic weapon into a fully automatic one. And you can legally buy fully automatic weapons made after 1986 in certain circumstances too.
The whole issue of gun regulation is completely ****ed and there's zero incentive from this administration to do anything about it.
There is absolutely no rationale nor justification for automatic weapons being legal for the public to buy and own.
They are not hunting weapons, nor can they be justified as a means of self defense. They are expressly for killing - people!

I would never defend America having guns, I'm sure you realise I'm only stating why the constitution to own them came about. Do I think they should stop owning guns, I do. But I'm English, and would say that from my tiny gun free little island
Constitution mentions the right to bear arms or something like that. Would you agree they should go onto own their own RPGs, Nukes, Missiles if they could afford to produce them?
Too early for official speculation but as he was an accountant maybe he was in trouble for syphoning accounts of his clients and was in Vegas to try and luck out as to say. Could have gone tits up for him and drove him over the edge?
If gun ownership was legal in Spain, then the weekend's scenes in Catalonia would have been an utter bloodbath.
He was a retired bean counter wasn't he? His brother said he was a multi millionaire property developer.
He could have 'lucked out' in Vegas though and he's gone radio rental, but the fact that he went tooled up to the max says it was definitely a pre-meditated act.

Other than to steal his considerable collection of recycling or those guns, I can't think that there's a single good reason to go within a mile of him or his property. That 'haircut' and those pants would see 99% of possible intruders off.

I Googled to see if there was any correlation between mass murderers and Mullet haircuts....As you probably would have guessed there wasn't backing up the theory that mullets are an adequate deterrent.
