What?

You didn't realise that they are Nerf guns?

No way!

What the **** did you think I was going to do? Rob Toy Town Bank ffs!
<doh>

I first thought they looked like toys , no idea what a nerf gun is , but thought you would post " funny " things on a thread as serious as this , so I gave you the benefit of the doubt .

Seems you are capable of stooping incredibly lowly .

You are pathetic ref this thread IMHO .

You miss my point completely. I'm not defending whether America have guns or whether they are legally owned. I'm suggesting it's a bit rich Europeans telling Americans what to do when we failed to protect only yesterday 900 people in Spain from police brutality and 336 (purely the ones I've highlighted) plus many more have been killed in the EU via various means, whether guns, a truck or other means. We can't even protect our own but we have plenty of views on how to protect Americans <laugh>

I take your point .

We all deal with grief, sadness, and loss in different ways.

I have always used humour.

That you don't get that or like it, I really couldn't give a flying ****.

The only pathetic thing on this thread are people making a show of their emotions/opinions and claiming them, implicitly or expressly, to be more valid than anyone those of others.

By the way, it isn't me who is trying to score cheap pop shots off the back of this tragic event.

People really do need to unclench and let go of their hypocrisy.

You must be the life and soul of the party at family funerals.

I would not expect you to give a flying **** about me or my opinion .

You are however , one pathetic person for posting **** like you have done on a thread like this .

Goodnight .

...... more interested in trying to score cheap points against the HIAGster than in dealing with the main subject - which is the tragic events unfolding in Las Vegas.

Please, Stan, show some respect.

Tries to claim the moral high ground, then ****s all over it.

This isn't a church. It isn't as if I have pissed on the altar stone of some sacred site.

Not only are you a snivelling little prick HIAG, you are also a ****ing hypocrite. <ok>

The guy had FORTY TWO guns.
That is insane.

The police took over an hour to break into his room after the shooting stopped and found devices for converting semi automatics to automatic fire. They also found explosives at his house.

Part of me struggles to sympathise with a nation that willingly allows it's citizens to have this capability of mass murder from distance, but I feel sick for the innocents that have been killed or maimed by this nutter.

That is crazy. What the **** goes through somebody's mind to plan and execute such a terrible act like that ?
And you're right, how a country can allow a situation like that to happen because of their lax gun laws is equally as criminal

Shooting done by a gun nut, lots of posts from a pretend gun nut who is nuts.

I am not a "gun nut."

"Pretend" or otherwise.

I used to be heavily into target shooting. It's a sport, and one that requires a lot of discipline. The emphasis is on the sport, not the love of guns.

I have also done some clay pigeon shooting, but it is never something I have ever really enjoyed.

Gun control in the UK is extremely strict. You will get a 5 years mandatory sentence for merely possessing an unlicensed firearm (Criminal Justice Act 2003). For those who are issued with a firearms licence (which itself is extremely restrictive), there are very strict rules regarding gun and ammunition storage, with heavy sanctions for those who disobey them, and the police carry out regular and unannounced checks.

It really does not pay to be a "gun nut" in the UK.

On the other hand, owning a deadly arsenal of Nerf guns carries with it no sanctions.

Crazy.

Did you do target shooting with automatic or semi automatic weapons, you can tell the diffrence by the sound dontcha know?

In America, the rights to own guns are written into their constitution, now imagine if the 900 brutally attacked Catlan's had guns, if that had been in America all hell would have broke loose. But what is the moral of the story, no one died but and it's a big but...Spain dictated to it's citizens it's own democratic ways of reasoning, think I know which out of the two countries I'd prefer to go and live in, in that situation from a democratic point of view.

Spain highlighted, why America had the constitution for guns in the first place.

America's the same.
93% of Americans want stricter gun regulations (Including, shockingly, 70% of NRA members) but the NRA has most of the Republican party and dare I say, half the democrats in their back pocket as well, so every time a bill is proposed it gets shot down. (No pun intended)

A country where 93% of the people want a particular thing.....and their government wont give it to them because they are getting their palms greased.....I really do not know how that can be called a Democracy.
Its Institutionalised corruption, pure and simple.

Not as part of my main sport - those types of weapons have long been banned in the UK, and further controls were introduced with the banning of semi-automatic handguns, following the Dunblane massacre, in 1996.

However, I have fired a number of fully automatic and semi-automatic weapons outside the UK.

I would never defend America having guns, I'm sure you realise I'm only stating why the constitution to own them came about. Do I think they should stop owning guns, I do. But I'm English, and would say that from my tiny gun free little island <ok>

Interesting thing I found about the two scenarios, Sky rarely wanted to report on the brutality taking place in Catalonia, because it would undermine the EU way of doing things, Articles, 7, 4 and 2!

However, get a gun nut in America and Murdoch's lot are all over it!
