Be interesting to see how it affects the premier league , I've always thought the big clubs get away with murder ( Gerrard against us in 08 springs to mind ) and this would be a leveller . Or will they just find a way to bend it to their will also?

Depends how it’s applied. If it’s as bad as it was in the women’s World Cup then it’ll be a disaster.

I'd rather get relegated over some contentious decisions than have it 'proven' we were not good enough over a season to stay up. I have nothing against technology in football. Goal line cameras are acceptable. Using today's technology, there's no reason sensors couldn't be in the ball and stitched into shirts to end confusion over which bits of a player are offside.

I don't see the point in having another referee watching **** in slow motion over and over. It's not representative of reality and it's only been introduced because of the **** load of money that's been forced into football. Effective, accurate, retrospective action is enough, for me.

Personally, I think the rules of football, and the way they're officiated, should be the same from Wetwang to Wembley. Over decades, **** naturally 'balance out'.

    Deffo interesting .

Remember talking some Pompey and Middlesbrough lads in Greece after City won at Wembley first time round. They where all adamant all the big decisions go the way of a small handful of clubs in the Prem. Point is,without sounding bitter or biased I know now that over a season poor or influential decisions still crucifying certain clubs almost every week and it cannot be coincidence.

I'm still not sure how I feel about it to be honest , it definitely needs to be faster then it is now .and I agree it shouldn't be just the premier league and not the other leagues . I just think it would be good if we see a few more of the big hitters struggling to get results against the Minnows without help from a **** decision . I suspect they will still get the benefit of **** VAR decisions instead

Whenever you invite humans into the process there will be bias, conscious or not. I don't think having extra humans will help but I do think it opens new interesting avenues for corruption.

That’s only for contentious issues. CAR has no support remaining amongst true football enthusiasts.

It appears even auto-correct is refusing to acknowledge it any further.

Or “Discovering: The Clash” on Sky Arts for those that have no interest in Money Led Premier League

Didn't some ex-referee, (David Elleray?) analyse every decision in the 2008/09 season and conclude we'd have finished 14th if every decision had been made accurately in every game. Maybe the intervening 10 years has turned me scenile but I'm convinced I read that somewhere not long after the season finished.

That was a ridiculous decision and captures in a moment why VAR will ultimately destroy football.

On hang on... It was Spitter Fabregas wasn't it?

Carry on. Correct call by the ref. Nothing to see here. As you were.
