Be interesting to see how it affects the premier league , I've always thought the big clubs get away with murder ( Gerrard against us in 08 springs to mind ) and this would be a leveller . Or will they just find a way to bend it to their will also?
Bugger you DJB, I was in a fairly decent mood until you mentioned Gerrard '08...Be interesting to see how it affects the premier league , I've always thought the big clubs get away with murder ( Gerrard against us in 08 springs to mind ) and this would be a leveller . I'm still not sure how I feel about it to be honest , it definitely needs to be faster then it is now .and I agree it shouldn't be just the premier league and not the other leagues . I just think it would be good if we see a few more of the big hitters struggling to get results against the Minnows without help from a **** decision . I suspect they will still get the benefit of **** VAR decisions insteadI'd rather get relegated over some contentious decisions than have it 'proven' we were not good enough over a season to stay up. I have nothing against technology in football. Goal line cameras are acceptable. Using today's technology, there's no reason sensors couldn't be in the ball and stitched into shirts to end confusion over which bits of a player are offside.
I don't see the point in having another referee watching **** in slow motion over and over. It's not representative of reality and it's only been introduced because of the **** load of money that's been forced into football. Effective, accurate, retrospective action is enough, for me.
Personally, I think the rules of football, and the way they're officiated, should be the same from Wetwang to Wembley. Over decades, **** naturally 'balance out'.

Might be good for both teams to score betsI agree with Dennis , complete and total disaster with about 5 penalties per game

I'm dead against VAR, but....about 2:30 onwards.
