Completely agree. I don't have a problem with refs or players making honest mistakes but the biggest 'human' problem are those players who, let's say, try and encourage the ref to better their cause. ... i.e. cheat. Cut that ****e out and it will greatly reduce the requirement for VAR.
Yep, every problem in football is down to humans, their dishonesty and greed. It's become a sham of a sport.
Yes I tend to agree. Yet watch Sunday league pub teams & they tend not to do it. Them lads try to put an honest shift in.
Only major between the two is the absence of money, the contrast as a result is worlds apart in terms of integrity of the sport. It's still the beautiful game at grassroots level.
Indeed & there is the answer as to what's ruined it as a sport - money. The pub lads play for **** all because they love to play. While the likes of Roswell sit on his lazy fat arse picking up his 70k a week.
The pub lads pay to play. Subs have to be paid to keep the teams afloat to hire pitches and pay registrations.
I don't disagree and to me if a player aggressively queries the ref's decision straight red or yellow. I did this as a local league referee. But will this happen in the professional game ????
VAR should only be used for something that is definite. Offsides, goal line tech, and that's about it. It certainly shouldn't be used for something that is based on opinion. Shearer said "definite penalty" on Willian! Bollocks! He says that cos he loved a dive himself (I remember a sky ad of him leaving his foot in and falling over without contact. I remember watching it live as he got up and slaughtered the ref!!).
I suppose it's early days but I don't see why if every other sport that employs technology to aid, or make, decisions, gets it to work, WHY CAN'T FOOTBALL. Rugby Union. Rugby League. Tennis. Cricket. These sports use technology to great advantage. They have eliminated most of the mistakes due to human error. So other than the involvement of The FA, what's the problem in football? please log in to view this image
Already spoiling the game. They haven't got a ****ing clue. There's not a single person knows why WBA had that goal struck off. Pool get a pen that never was & miss it. ****ing ruining the game this like.
It was for offside, it must be right. The pen had now to do with VAR, it was the Ref watching back a replay.
Yes I know that's the official reason but I can't see it. Dick Van Dyke is having a ****ing mare. £75m for that ****?
