It’s a fair and valid point. Few years since Ollie though so there’s the argument that ‘things go up’. Gray is well over £30m if hits triggers.
Who's better, Jobe or Archie Gray? I didn't see a lot of Gray for Leeds but I also didn't see a single person putting him in the top 3/5 players in the league like they are with Jobe. If we sold him for any amount at this point I would be mortified, I might be ok if it set some kind of record. Him and the other lads are our ticket to the premier league and could be our ticket to staying up there if we play it right.
I couldn’t say who’s better mate. Seen Gray play a handful of times and I’d of course be biased to our lad Just watching the overlap and Chiellini is on, says he agreed to sign for Sunderland in 2007 but we wouldn’t pay the fee. Mad.
What you heven't figured in is what clauses were put in place when they signed or signed an extension. For example, Clarke was told he could leave if a premier league club came in for him, one did and we begged him to stay another year, he did, but the next year when a club approached we begged him again and he said no. If Bellingham has signed a new contract it will have a clause in saying we will not step in his way if clubs like Liverpool, Chelsea, Man City etc come knocking.
