Agreed. His last round at Troon has to be the second best ever final round in a major. Sadly for him his playing partner produced the best. 20/1 looks decent odds to me.
Very difficult course with some heavy rough,-4 was the winning score when Mickleson won last time it was here. If the predicted heatwave hits,the greens could become unplayable,hence their talking of watering them daily. Dustin could blow them away,but I think he looked a little weary in his last round at the Canadian. Mccilroy just isn't producing,but I expect him to shoot a great final round once he's out of the running.Day hasn't looked himself in the last 3 tournaments,and I think his confidence has taken a dip.Spieth just hasn't looked the same player this year,and his driving is just too unpredictable.Now I've got rid of the top 4 in Fusions plan,here are my selections.

Brandt Snedeker is my outsider in this- has shown glimpses of threatening in a major under Butch Harmons stewardship.
As for the rest- there are some big par 4s on first glance and therefore big- but more importantly accurate- driving will be an asset this week. I'm gonna have a re visit of the driving stats and also overall form of some of the longer hitters.

McIlroy is my main bet. He played well at Troon overall but just couldn't buy a putt. Rose too played some decent golf and showed a few signs of coming back to form
Hills & PP paying 7 places so hope to get a return following nice wins in the last 2 majors.

Snedeker is in real decent form and will need to be having listened to the players talking about driving accurately being vital to avoiding any real mess around here. That's been his achilles heel and it's a great test round here to see if he is maturing into a major contender under Butch. Mickleson mentioned that the greens are very open so you don't have to be the monster hitter off the tee as you have the option of running one onto the front of the green, but that leaves longer putts of course than those who might be primed to go at the flag after a long tee shot.
I liked Scott and Fowler as the bigger prices of some of the big names- they know how to play a tidy round and it could be that type of a weekend- we'll see how it turns out with the long hitters but if no one goes racing away, I fancy one of these two to be in there pitching.
Oosthuizen is a big game player and can come alive at the American events, as when runner up at both the Masters and US Open. He'll have no issue with quicker conditions and has an opportunity to place in the only major he has not yet reached a Top 5 finish.
Hope it's another good tournament.

The last Major upon us already, season is flying by. Not many better courses about than Baltusrol to host once more. The Robert Trent Jones designed course bears many of his trademarks, the course will test the players well with many of the holes requiring shape to the left or right, a true test of ball control...large green make the approaches seem nice but as is typical of Jones' the greens are large but undulating and quick with large green side bunkers. Jones' aim was to make every hole a " hard par, but an easy bogey" 
Not straying too far from the obvious with the winner of this event in 2005 at this course Phil Mickelson. If Troon has left no mental scars then he's bound to go close, this course is suited perfect for Phil and he's got all the shots to plot his way around and give himself a chance at another big one to add to his CV. 25/1 - Outstanding claims.
Ball striking paradise for Sergio Garcia. Inventive and crisp shaping from the tee and fairway is a huge bonus and Sergio is excellent producing whatever shot is required. Keep the 3 putts off the stats and Sergio has a great chance to claim that elusive first major. He has finaldayitis though so the cash out button may be pressed if he is contending Sunday! 25/1 - Solid win to place claims if game is coordinating well.
Ever reliable, Jim Furyk is far from fancy but is ultra consistent and plays really well withing himself. Has hit form quick after missing a fair chunk of the year with injury. 80/1 he has nice place claims. Don't keep backing off those putts Jim!!
Emiliano Grillo 150/1. Has promised to hit the big time ever since turning pro some years back. I followed him closely on the Web . com tour last season where he was a threat in almost every event he played...making the finals and winning the Web.com tour championship earning him his card for this year. Full of promise this lad, fiery and has lovely short game skills and if he can ease himself into It then he has lively place claims.
Plenty of others to note, so little divides so many, the finest of margins and mental lapses can see a certain winner lose or loser turn into a winner.
