I think he actually hated being President and found it too tedious and stressful. Trump’s in survival mode and feels penned into a corner. If he wins, I imagine he’ll delegate a lot to Vance and even step down at some point. I don’t think he’ll be pressured to step down like the Democrats did to Biden once they accepted he wasn’t a full shilling.

Trump lacks political finesse. He just says whatever thought comes into his head regardless of consequence. Vance is more calculating and reserved, which I guess does make him more cunning and potentially more dangerous.

Completely agree. Anyone thinking Trump is some political genius who will genuinely better society is a moron.

Someone throwing in fascist, predictably. The USA was involved in less conflict under Trump than Obama or Biden. Still, you can expect overwrought reactions from someone who watches football like watching a game of chess.

I don’t even think Trump wanted to run again. He looks knackered and worse for wear. I think the main reason he’s running again is because there’s a good chance he’ll go to federal prison if he doesn’t win and winning will allow JD Vance to be groomed for the Presidency.

They've took a lot of money on Trump and fear the consequences if he wins.As a result of that they've shoved Harris out in the betting to make it look attractive,which it is.

It's too close to call,there's no evidence that Trump will win this and in normal circumstances we'd be looking at 10/11 against 11/10 either way.

6/4 Harris is a big price in a 2 horse race?

Well, he came from a piss-poor Appalachian background to graduating summa cum laude from Ohio State. He then graduated from Yale Law School, one of the most prestigious and competitive universities in the country, if not the world.

Aside from his academic achievements, it’s clear he’s extremely knowledgable on the topics he talks about. I don’t like him or his politics but he’s objectively very intelligent.

I think it’s really disappointing that posters are turning this into name calling of each other and makes it a good reason to not have politics threads all the time.
Also none of these candidates are morons or idiots or thick as ****
They hold different beliefs or more likely spout different beliefs just to appeal to a different demographic that they need to attract to win
