Israel is basically an extension of the US in the middle east, so their policy on nukes would be dictated by Washington. But to answer your question, I'd rather neither country had them, but seeing as one does and one is prevented from developing them, the question is, for the benefit of whose interests ?

Israel has actually attacked Iranian forces in Syria though as well as being (allegedly) responsible for murdering Iranian nuclear scientists.
But Iran's presence in Syria isn't popular back in Iran, so there hasn't really been retaliation for that. Although, as I'm sure you know, much of the tension between Israel and Iran is played out via proxies in the region.

Part of the problem of peace in Palestine is that, every time it looks liek it's going to happen, Iran sends a few 'freedom fighters' in to fire rockets at schools and it all goes tits up.
Iran wants hegemony over the ME, and is fighting proxy wars with the Saudi's too.
