That's not a compliment by Thatcher, that's putting the boot in. I would expect something like that in a book/big value interview in the next 12-18 months
Hard for Trump to claim to have moved the Democrats to the right when he was replaced by the previous bloke's VP and a mixed-race woman.

Just watched The Trump Show on BBC iPlayer and it's now clear where the inspiration of why Trump acted like he did. It's noted in the programme that his favourite film is Citizen Kane and that he identifies strongly with the main character, Charles Foster Kane a newspaper business tycoon who gets into politics and fights dirty and his favourite scene is when Kane attempts to destroy his electoral opponent by printing lies and scandalizing him.
This scene is where the notion of "stop the steal" was born...

My guess is it contained $1000, with an offer of plenty more were that came from if certain embarrassing documents could be conveniently locked in a draw and forgotten about.

Just the beginning. The impeachment has been put back a fortnight, which will be just about enough time for all the files on his attempts to force through a military coup in December that was thwarted by the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Seriously, **** Fox's attempts to brush everything under the carpet in attempts at 'Unity' - this **** needs locking up for the rest of his life, and, as Powell has suggested, reservist Gen Flynn needs recalling, charged with treason, and face a firing squad.

But before you go, if you have three hours of your life to pass and you wish to know more, try looking up the 3-part PBS series Reconstruction on YouTube. The 1876 election and the fudge afterwards between disputed results from black voters in swing states, and how that saw the death knell of Reconstruction and the beginnings of Jim Crow laws and such, is the foundation of American political and racial division until the challenges of the 60's, and what is happening again now.

Then look at what is happening with Trump and his Redneck followers, and the calls from the Right to muddle everything together for the sake of 'unity' and 'progress' and come back on here and say that Trump, Flynn, Guilliani and the Capitol insurrectionists shouldn't be prosecuted and hounded down like the dogs they are. And those in Congress and The Senate that aided and abetted them. Take this moment, albeit nearly 150 years too late, and finish Reconstruction.

I've no problems with Trump being impeached, but why stop there?

A ****, and **** knows how they fiddled the 2000 election, but don't remember him heading a violent, fatal insurrection to overthrow the democratic, constitutional process because he didn't like losing.

Some in the Middle East might disagree. Not only did they overthrow the power of another country, it also led to an execution. <ok>

What short memories we have.

Mate, if you're now going to throw in American foreign policy into the mixer as some sort of false equivalency and whataboutery, then every living president should be up there. This, it appears, is the Kustard argument - Trump didn't start a foreign war (though he did illegally support the assassination of Iraqis, but let that pass) ergo he is morally superior to any president that proceeded him.

With respect, my arse - he swore an oath to uphold the constitution, then tried to bully and cajole elected state officials to falsify their election counts, then tried to organise a military coup, then instigated a violent insurrection against his own government. By the articles of his own country's constitution and federal law he is a seditionist and traitor. As previously said, Biden wants this like a hole in the head as he strives to take on a pandemic that Trump have completely ****ed up, but the more is revealed about what Trump and his running dogs have done, the more the US will face a looking back moment again of 'We should have stood up then and stopped it' if they give him a free pass for the sake of 'Unity'.

Every US president has blood on their hands - Trump has the blood of his own people on his hands, and it would have been many more if he'd have been allowed.
