She was shot whilst climbing through a window they’d smashed at the entrance to the Speakers office, she was told to stay back, was wearing a backpack, refused and then got shot by Pence’s security team. Tragic loss of life, but maybe attempting an actual coup and trying to storm the armed chamber where the VP was being protected wasn’t the smartest choice.

Yeh very much this. I don't think they handled it well at any stage - right from removing the metal barriers in the walkway outside the building, to letting them into the building, backing off up the stairs, letting them roam the corridors and goad the police and then suddenly choosing to shoot an unarmed woman.

They were so intent on stopping them getting in, that they allowed them to go where they wanted. Makes no sense.

I knew the stage of people defending the woman would appear, it's the usual pschology of tears of it being so unfair.

She was led into a false sense of security, she thought she was going to be offered a cup of tea, if she could climb through the window while a gun is being pointed at her. <laugh>

It was Nancy Pelosi's sign from above her office ... the one that the white supremacist self titled "Big O" filmed himself sitting in her chair in having left a messaged envelope on the desk ...

I love the fact all those muppets had pictures taken of them, they certainly are not a very intelligent lot. The cops have been going round picking them up today.
 
They should have just hired Comm as security. Give him a gun and say off you go, see how many you can kill in an hour.

There has been a very predictable response from the right leaning types to yesterday's carnage ... arguing that the BLM protests, rioting and looting were far worse than yesterday's impromptu massed visitor tour of the Capitol building...

Whilst I would happily lock up all looters and throw away the key, that kind of comparison conveniently glosses over the fact that not only were the vast majority of 'BLM' protesters (deliberated distinguished from BLM political activists) peaceful and law abiding ... but, crucially, those protests were in regard to yet another racist killing of an unarmed man by US law enforcement officers ... not because some inflated orange human blimp's ego simply couldn't handle being beaten in a poltical election...
