Respect for Mitch Mcconnell. He's bent over a lot for Donald over the years but even he has acknowledged that what many in his party are doing could be irreversibly dangerous.

Don't always like his politics, but he is standing up for democracy now when it's really important despite the pressure from his party to lead a coup.
 
As desperate as Trump is to stay in power, it makes you wonder what atrocities he is trying to hide.

Will Biden be remodeling the white house one day and find a few dead hookers behind the drywall?

McConnell's looking after himself, as usual. He'd lose any power in a real coup and his wealth would be at risk.
Look at Putin's takeover. Some of his allies did well, while others got taken out for what they had. Toe the line 100% or you're ****ed.
Why take such a massive chance to end up in that position?

Once he's out of office he's fair game for prosecution.
He's also no use to those that he owes lots and lots of lovely cash to.

I really hope he gets impeached again after he leaves office, now democrats control senate too it can be done.

With both houses pushing it through, it will be more than symbolic, it will mean he is unable to run for public office again like he has threatened to do.

I don't want to go through this again in four years time.

Just be grateful we are living in modern times and whatever Trump and many of his more mental supporters are attempting won't succeed.

I have no doubt if this was 1930's we'd be looking at a very different U.S. history, akin to the manner in which a certain Nazi took over Germany.

It'll just be one of his kids or some other ****house, unfortunately.
Hopefully they won't dig up a similar populist who's not as ****ing stupid.

Think back to last year, when peaceful protests were brutally beaten back by Swat teams, so Trump could go to church.

These loons have broken into the American version of the House of parliament and five-0 has done nothing.

Tbf police have told senators to reach under their desks for gas masks. When you consider there are gas masks under every desk, they really do think of everything <laugh>

This is the sort of stuff Others and I predicted if trump didn’t win/concede that Biden had won.

His whole political run has been based on making the press appear to be liars in the eyes of his supporters, unless pro trump.

Early last year stating that the only way he could lose if it were a rigged election, that mail in votes were open for corruption.

This is great news viewing, doing his best to make a Biden presidential term as difficult as possible.
